From my understanding, they are reporting deaths as Covid19 even if they were asymptomatic because the hospitals qualify for federal funds.
And because hospitals have had to cancel elective surgeries, they are hurting for revenue. Seems plausible to me.

This is an amazing narrative. It sn’t like there isn’t charts and historical data showing average yearly deaths per month in every country. It breaks down per week in most countries. It was very clearly way underreported early and is skewing closer to accurate now. Many places had 40k deaths more than average with 19k Covid deaths. The true number is much larger. I don’t know where this stuff comes from.
I’m not sure if you have data to back these claims up but I’d like to see it. Also, in case you haven’t noticed, we’ve been social distancing for the last six weeks which doesn’t just work for Covid. If people aren’t out spreading the flu around makes sense flu deaths would be down, no? Also deaths from car accidents are down. Maybe because there aren’t any cars on the road? If you look at excess deaths by country, anyone can find data for most places. The U.K. has a tremendous amount when I looked into this a few weeks back. Much of Europe does. It’s underreported everywhere, so it isn’t some right wing conspiracy, just silly to now claim they’re being over-reported
As of April 4th, Fox was publishing articles like talking about maybe 15k underreported. It’s gotten better, other than states simply not reporting cause of death like Florida, but most places are skewing closer to normal when I’ve look lately.
