And unless you believe China -- with its 1.4 billion people (4x the US population) -- had its deaths and cases abruptly grind to a halt over a month ago, deaths are being underreported.

Basically any oppressive regime which limits people's speech and/or internet access is very suspect regarding reported deaths.

The thing I'd take umbrage with would be his assertion that we'd be in the same boat with any President even Obama. I think we can safely assume Obama, if he was somehow elected to a 3rd term, would have followed the "gameplan" he commissioned & I doubt anybody would argue that gameplan would have been worse than no gameplan & just pretending it would miss.

Our Canadian government was similarly ill-prepared but at least they acted like adults in the aftermath working together & even our bombastic "Donald Trump wannabe" Doug Ford has dialed down the rhetoric & done a good job. Of course our politicians aren't up for re-election in 8 months so there's that.
