Stricker and Woods didn't lose the cup. Jim Furyk did. That match and Justin Rose's finish basically ended the Americans chances.

The captain should have put out our scrubs first today. Backload our lineup. We knew they were front loading theirs so why put out our strong players against those guys? Makes no sense.

I think the idea was to put strong guys out first to keep a reasonable lead and avoid the pressure from a tight score. I agree it was the wrong way to play it but that was their thought.
