Obama was at the top of his class at the number one law school in the country. I hated it when George W was called an idiot. I met the man and worked for his gubernatorial campaign. He is no idiot. However he made c's and never went to law school. So if Obama is an idiot, I guess Bush was too, which are close to being equally asinine comments. All presidential candidates have gaffes. They are followed around 24/7 with cameras. Any error and people want to call them idiots. They aren't. It has always seemed to me, whether the attack is from the left or the right, that when the attack is "idiot" that likely the person doing the attacking is a complete moron. Attacking policy is fine. Both parties platforms have goals that are improvable at the moment of their claims and require a lot of "if" speculation or unproven conclusions to their policy suggestions. We don't always know who is right at the time.....so attacking political theory is fair game....when articulated appropriately.
However attacks of your nature: claims that Obama is an idiot, socialist, muslim, america-hater, worst president ever........are so fucking stupid, that even the most idealistic hardcore conservative with half an understanding in politics, will always think you are embarrassing the party and helping Obama's cause. What's worse for you is that people just like you on forums, twitter and facebook, who engage in political discussion by spewing regurgitated garbage, all the while never actually understanding or engaging in real policy arguments, are actually HURTING the Republican party and conservative causes....but are simply to stupid to understand why.
I will spell it out for you why this one time: Attacks such as yours may bring high fives and praise from fellow policy illiterate neanderthals, and smiles from hardened conservatives......but they ALWAYS SCARE AWAY MODERATE VOTERS. Just as asinine attacks from the left did for Bushes opponents. That is what is so ironic and amusing, Rollo. Your brand of political discussion: posting gaffe videos, wildly partisan articles, and hurling unfounded insults, does nothing to sway Obama haters into changing their vote. They already aren't voting for Obama. Your method of discussion however does, in fact turn away the tiny 9% of the country in swing states that are the real deciders of the election. Every time you or someone like you calls Obama, a man who has gone to a christian church for 40 years, a man who assassinates muslim terrorists stone cold dead nearly daily with predator drones, a man who when radical muslim sects have an uprising in the middle east, is burned in effigy with cameras rolling (google that phrase "burned in effigy" if you are unfamiliar)............every time you call him a Muslim, or claim he wasn't born in the US, a moderate thinking neutral voter somewhere in Ohio runs scared right into the arms of the Democrats on the ticket. In short, your stupidity, and those of your ilk are losing the election......even if your party has some good ideas and legitimate policy objections your party will lose. The moderate voter simply can't hear the good ideas, of the Republican party I used to vote for , over the din of blabbering fools such as yourself.
As a "liberal" voter who is not voting for Romney, I raise my glass to people of your nature Rollo. Keep talking please, keep fighting the good fight! I'm sure if you post enough pictures of Obama in traditional African outfits with a bone in his nose that you will convince someone who is on the fence to vote Romney! You can make the difference Rollo! You can do it Rollo, don't listen to the liberal medias lies about Romney being behind! Let everyone you know exactly what Obama really is!
