Since Sanlmar likes bashing the Red Sox almost as he does the Dodgers, here's a discussion topic:
Nate Eovaldi.
Never understood the fascination with this guy.
He started on the Dodgers. Went 2-8 with mediocre ERA/WHIP numbers.
He was a full time starter in 2012, after splitting time between the bullpen and rotation during the second half of '11.
In that time, his SECOND BEST ERA was last year's 3.81, and this third best was 4.15.
Last year, he managed a WHIP of 1.126. Every other year of his career, it's been 1.3xx or 1.4xx.
He's not bad, but he's not good.
The Sawks signed him 4y/$68m.
Why? Because he pitched well in the 2018 postseason.
Big deal.
Today's bet on the Mariners was as much on Kikuchi as it was against the overrated Eovaldi.
