There's the new next Pujols contract signed today. 13/330 for Bryce. Lower AAV than Machado got,but apparently just wanted to set the record for highest total dollars. The 2 agents must have decided as this being the truce between them. This furthers my belief that the agents competing with each other is the sole reason why they didn't sign until recently.

Anyway, supposedly the deal is front loaded, which is smart by the Phillies I suppose....but no opt-outs (which is surprising) and full no-trade. Maybe the Phillies assume the DH will be in the NL soon....they better hope for that. He might be a Bonds-like statue in LF by year 6 or 7 of this deal.

I still like the Nats in that tough division. Everyone sleeping on Robles now for some odd reason. Kid might have a better year than Harper. With Soto breaking out last year also, if Eaton can stay healthy (big if) Nats really dont lose much from their lineup, which is an odd thing to say after losing the guy who signs the highest contract ever.
