I mean that's what I was thinking...when you have to strain to beat Samford (who from the little I've looked isn't a strong 1AA program) that aint good...
cuse lost by 3 last year at FSU and dungy had a really good game...only thing that worries me is cuse's D being shit and them losing that way...they gave up a boatload to WMU in week 1...they got up 34-7 at half and let WMU get to within a TD in the 3rd...as shit as FSU has looked they still have dudes which worries me against a shit D...

also another line from the something smells like shit...
@ARMY -5 v. HAW...
the HAW run and shoot is back and they look fantastic...kick is at noon ET...even if they left for west point on sunday I still think that's a helluva tough ask to come halfway across the world and play at 6AM their time...remember back to when you were 18-22, how fucking useless were you at 6AM?
Hawaiii didn't cover a 17 point spread against a shitty rice team at HOME LOL, the Hawaii ML looks tempting but this one is also too close to call, it really depends on Hawaii's offense, on whether or not they light up Army's defense, which is doubtful considering the Rice game. Army is just going to run the ball and consume the clock, that's their m.o.

Yeah, I would be all over Hawaii but that time zone issue is a problem. Probably gonna stay away.
Looked at the opening CFB lines and the only one I liked enough to just jump on as is was LSU +9.5.
Just take TCU at +13.5 while you still can, I don't see it going any higher, but who knows, I'm taking them now and the MONEYLINE, I think TCU was thinking ahead of themselves against SMU.....just a hunch...

If Oakland A's get homefield advantage for the Wild Card, they will beat the Yankees. And then beat the Red Sox in 7 games.
Old Dominion -2
Also, paging Salmar regarding Kershaw against the Cards tonight in a monster game. The play is to fade Kershaw, right?
This is a monster game. Buccholz (still amazed) pitching against Rockies. Big night.
Every sharp I follow is on the Cards. It’s not just me.
For the record, my last Kershaw game I actually took him AND LOST. Lesson learned & loads or irony.
I could go on and on about this matchup but I will limit it to a prediction that Kershaw gives up the long ball once or twice as is his recent experience. That first pitch diminished fastball to set up slider is gonna get tagged. Cards match up well vs elderly Kershaw.
I like Cards Goober. He won last outing vs Dodgers. I like his stuff & he’s a lefty. He’s still a relatively fresh face for batters.
Will Roberts & the nerd trust let Kershaw compete over the distance or will they get cute with matchups and go to the 5 cans of gas that is their bullpen? I only ask b/c EVERYONE loves this under @ 7.5 It’s supposed to be THE play vs the sides. I’ll pass.
Fucking all day Cards +174. Great value. Only question is will late dumb LA money give you a few more ticks? I would guess yes but I gotta lock this down. I see this as a blessing.
This is all correct. Except the 7 games.
I just don’t see any way to exploit this futures-wise. Astros still win AL West & the American League.
Chris Sale is really interesting. His shoulder. He’s pitched like 6 innings since July 27. He’s had 2 stints on the DL. He pitched an inning 2 days ago. Not real sharp but that’s not meaningful considering his lack of activity.
The first time time he came out of the DL he said something like, “my shoulder feels like Paul Bunyan’s ox”. He pitched and his shoulder didn’t recover post game. Sawks sit him out.
The guy is a warrior. I love his make up. Players who compete like him are what make following sports great. However, players like Sale, who live to compete in big spots, have a propensity to lie. Lie about their health to their coach and trainer & lie to themselves.
There is contract money at play too but I don’t think that has a lot to do with Sale. His attitude is prolly, “if I play great and I know I will b/c I always have - I will be rewarded”. Hell, he is a Cy Young candidate perhaps if he hasn’t been out too long already.
Sale is scheduled against DeGrom Sunday. Three innings supposedly. We will follow.
Can they stretch Sale out in time to be the workhorse the Sawks need him to be in the playoffs? This question supposes his angry shoulder isn’t an issue.
I’ve had shoulder issues as a pitcher. I wasn’t a big strong guy. Shoulder issues just go on and on. It takes an off season. You can play - maybe b/c you have to but your control will leave you. Sale has a million miles with kinda funky mechanics. Sawks overworked him last year in a criminal fashion, for instance.
There is talk about Sale going to the bullpen as a closer or more. I can see why. The Sawks bullpen is trash. Sawks are now experimenting with elderly knuckleballer Steven Wright in the 8th. 100 wins and the Sawks still don’t have an answer that is playoff worthy.
Sawks closer, Kimbral, is lights out when he’s on and trash when he isn’t. Sale could solve a problem. That this discussion is even occurring points to issues that the Sawks know are a problem.
So maybe some Sale starts and later in series sit in the pen as a closer. This is what the Sawks are up against.
Everyone wonders about head case and lifelong playoff loser Price. He’s looked great lately. He’s shifted from one side of the rubber to the other. This is a huge move from a stubborn guy and it’s worked for a lot of boring reasons. Suffice it to say his deception is huge now and his swing and miss on 3rd strikes is maybe top of MLB now.
That kind of mechanical success can overcome his being a mental case - until he gets tagged or loses it for a bit mechanically. Does he have the mental strength to tough it out? We will see. Not a Price hater so much anymore.
The Sawks regular season spectacle would thrill yung Druff if they were in LA. He would be booking World Series babysitters. My man never comprehended expanded and tournament rosters.
So yeah, fuck what you heard about the Red Sox.
We don’t have to waste a lot of time on the Yankees. They wouldn’t even know who their #1 is. Judge ain’t walking through that door. They are kind of a mess.
You’re playing great Snake.

If I'm Kershaw I toss aside the 70 million and go for a 200+ deal where I have a shot to win the World Series.
If I'm a MLB owner I would find it difficult to spend 200+ million on a pitcher who is starting to decline and that may ramp up in a hurry...AND who folds in the playoffs.
Boston did it with Price could you imagine if they did it again with Kershaw? 400 million dollars on two pitcher who you only want for the regular season?
Dodgers 8
Cardinals 1
5th inning
Cardinals Gomber was a Goober.
Lol the under 7.5
Rockies win so the pennant fun will continue.
Gotta stick with Simpdog picks.
