Let’s get down and read like it’s 1999.
I finally got around to reading Kitchen Confidential. Fantastic. Still reading. The restaurant industry revelations are now considered pedestrian but that’s not the point. It’s his writing.
He was not an expert chef and worked some unremarkable restaurants. He was a career cook, financial loser and drug abuser but loved words.
It’s easy to see the influence Hunter S Thompson had on him. The dark asshole posturing. I love it so.
I am aware while writing I am not doing this book proper justice.
Turns out there is more after Kitchen Confidential. Why do I love the following sentence so much? But I do.
Bourdain penned an essay to submit to one of those free papers in New York for lulz. They didn’t print it. Someone suggested he submit it to the New Yorker. Why not. The New Yorker printed it and he was then offered a book deal to a follow up on the essay and that resulted in “Kitchen Confidential”.Guys who wake up every morning, brush their teeth, shower, shave, then go to work at the serious business of committing felonies,”
“A Life of Crime,” an essay in his collection “Medium Raw.”
Bourdain was 44 years old and a mercenary chef. Never paid his rent on time. Was ten years delinquent on his taxes. Had never owned a car.
How does this happen? How does a guy who was a juvenile delinquent and drifter end up with his gift? What he never mentions is his mother was a writer or editor for Time. This has to account for much of his awareness of words and literature.
The book is money.
I was on Chantix for about a month and a half. Never got me completely off the cigs but most days i'd only have 2-3 tops. While i felt much better physically, this is not a drug to fuck around about. I'd rather die from lung disease in 15-30 years than a self inflicted gunshot wound in my near future AINEC

It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
In a movie Asia replayed her sexual assault w Weinstein, wtf. 8:30ish Then the shit w Black Cube is weird.
Black cube is affiliated w Trump and iirc 2 weeks ago trump tweeted about Weinstein getting a fair trial.
Also what tripped me out is that Days and nights blog had a blind declaring foul play right after Bourdain's death.
I actually downgraded their credibility because of it. Idk lotta weird stuff.
Yt comment " The Food Bourdain is offering to Marge in the Simpsons episode is called "Hang Here Que Chap" 2:21"
At the very least good conspiraporn and this was made well before trump tweeted about Weinstein and i think before the Asia payoff was revealed..

It was a good show. I like all the discovery channel shows. River monsters, pawn stars, man vs food etc.
I do find it strange that the Italian actress is getting so much (mostly negative) attention for her relationship with Bourdain, and actually being blamed for his suicide, when he was actually married to someone else at the time. Kinda weird how the media is conveniently ignoring that part.
Seriously tho youre kind of a mess.

its confusing because the sorts of people who buy new cars and bespoken clothing are usually emotionally mature enough to not kick someone out after sex. i suggest that by that phase of their lives they are normally in committed long term relationships or there are very serious personality flaws at bar.
also it seems like every time a rapper mentions bespoken clothing, they are wearing a Supreme jersey and jeans with basketball sneakers. so theres that.
