    That was unbelievably bad.

Also LOL at anyone who thinks Lebron wouldn't have dominated in previous NBA eras.

Yeah, it was basically the soundtrack to me and my buddies sitting around watching Jordan kill the Cavs every year. Even my dad, who rarely swears, would call me up all pissed off and give me the, “are they really going to put fucking Ehlo on him again?”

This Raptor series really reminds me of the frustration of those Cavs years when someone just owns you. I’ve probably spent 8 hours reading Raptors threads on the internet just for the lulz. Thank God there were no message boards back then so I don’t have to recall my posts confident that this was our year before Jordan caved our head in again.

NBA playoff shaninigans. It’s easy to forget having been numbed by the regular season. It is that special time of the year

Just one of a 1000 Tweets. This is picked at random:

Tim Donaghy’s pal and NBA bagman Scott Foster.

There was no way that the NBA was gonna let both series go 4-0. The NBA just doin WWE style NBA playoff things.

The frustration is that Foster was never mentioned pregame by anyone I follow. In this spot I would have unloaded huge. I was thinking in conventional terms about Phillys back to the wall at home. Decided to pass.

    25 fouls to 3.

Of all the leagues, NBA talks about a 1% integrity fee. That rich.

I have zero interest in the NBA playoffs. I do like free money though.

BCR: NBA is definitely shady. It’s all about the timing. I think they both ended up shooting same amount of FTs. Those guys are experts at breaking a team’s psyche before the makeup calls flood in.

Your basketball sensibility is a surprise BCR and I do listen.

Yes, the damage was done early and Celts had to retool

I didn’t watch. I remember thinking last night there was nothing no worthwhile sports. The MLB schedule was a zero and playoff Basketball. I suffered sports withdrawal

Any random hockey playoff game is a pretty good take. WPG v NSH tied 3-3 is gonna be the epitome of balls out sports. Take it to OT and there is never anything better.

    Fuck the NBA.

It should be Indiana vs Toronto anyway, the refs jobbed the Pacers but good. No way they were letting LeBron go out in the first round.

Lol that Toronto was all excited about being the 1 seed. The sweep is no surprise. LeBron will cruise to the finals where his lack of supporting cast will finally catch up with him. Rinse and repeat, same as it ever was.

    State of the Union

Glad to see you posting more BCR. You were dark for a while. Others praised you but I was late to the DD PFA game. They were right.

Sonatine activity is a huge catalyst for my own. When he lags the site lags. Druff has never given his input on the site the proper weight. Pretty much blind bet what ‘Tine tells you to do and thank him later, Druff. The only one operating at a small loss is ‘Tine.

Obviously, the Dodgers opposite lifestyle has brought me enormous joy. Druff has folded his tent so I have to contend with this void.

Going forward, we could relive some of the key mistakes the Dodgers have made the past few years. We could try to get Druff to appreciate how rare some of the Dodgers spots were. He always had this notion that the Dodgers would endlessly take their division and he had a shot in the playoffs. Don’t get relief or rent another ace starter if it meant prospects, etc.

I don’t need to convince him. The passage of time and the loss of Kershaw will impart the wisdom I tried to convey. I don’t need to exhaust myself. He will learn and recall all he read with fresh appreciation.

Druff was so earnest and he was a fun target. Earnest is funny and a magnet.

Otherwise, I have some fundamental issues with his moderation of the site.

There are some interesting posters who provide remarkable content but it is increasingly tough to find them as they are drowned out and lost. It’s like sifting tons of dirt to find an ounce of gold.

Some of the privacy issues this past year and his response have left me annoyed. The Kilgore deal still bugs me. But obv it’s more than that. It’s a tone that he has set that allows this shit. He is soft on crime.

It’s his site. I get the free speech posture. I respect it. However, in a practical sense it’s entertainment and relationships for me. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of this post is tongue in cheek. I am taking something that is quite trivial (this site) and writing in a sirius tone. Little bit of a troll.

I am reminded of Facebook’s recent ad campaign in response to the CA scandal.

More privacy, more from your friends and less of the stuff that gets in the way.
The above is a gay sentiment from a gay enterprise but it rings right.

To use another Dodgers analogy, Druff cried early on about the loss of one Dodgers player, Turner, and railed about the value of prospects. The loss of SrslySirius (as a direct result of Kilgore and privacy) and prospect Krypt were huge proxies. I don’t need to rehash Srsly. Krypt was young, original and outrageous. I encouraged him every chance I could. I never sensed any interaction between Druff & Krypt.

Again, it’s his site and I’m just one pahticipant or not. Habit is a powerful thing though.

Lol at NBA coaches. Dwayne Casey wins COY. Seven guys got votes. Not a single vote for Brad Stevens. Are you fucking kidding me?

    1-Stevens
    2-McMillan
    3-Snyder

No one else should even be in the conversation

    game 1: Celtics (-1) v cavs...

they weren't favorite in one game against the sixers and are favs against the best player on the planet...I need to stop sports betting forever...

and the Celtics are +210 for the series...that's another interesting nugget...

Worth mentioning that while Casey won COY he also may get fired. I remember how crazy it seemed when mike brown won it then was fired a season later.

Tonight i smoked some amazing weed and i had an idea.

Ainge, proving hes belichick-level coldblooded as an exec, trades kyrie, hayward and 2019 1st for lebron.

The cavs have a platform to rebuild from that even theyd have a hard time fucking up; two lottery picks and two all stars in their prime, both under 26 i think.

We get treated to a finals with rozier/brown/tatum/LBJ/horford vs the hampton 5, death lineup, whatever.

    Im ready.

obviously the first is semi useless as it'd be at the end of the first, but think that's way too much for the Cs to give up...

I get that it's LeBron and he's some indestructible human force, but seriously even though he's 33 he's gotta be damn near 36-37 in basketball years...I don't think i'd trade Gordon/kyrie for what I'm guessing is 2 good years of LeBron...

just looked and Gordon is 28 and kyrie is 26...surprised Gordon was that old...

This reads like you’re talking this year? Trade deadline. Free agent. No trade. If next year, I mean, Lebron isn’t going to a team that has a real coach and real gm to be a system player. Shit, Boston isn’t letting Lebron fuck up 30 years of Brad. Plus the Cavs are way fucking over and couldn’t match salaries.

Edit-oh, you’re talking next years finals. Shit, I mean the Cavs would take it rather than lose him, but I don’t see why he’d do it, plus Cavs would have to ship Kyrie to Sacramento or some shit. He’d just leave again after the following year

I was really looking forward to these playoff but the games have sucked. In the 3 point era, pretty much every game hinges on who shoots well above average from 3, and it sure leads to a ton of non-competitive games. I’m glad tonight was a blowout for my heart, but not exactly entertaining if you’re a casual fan.

I wonder if the NBAPA gives a fuck that they have shit all over the league with the whole not flattening out of the salary cap a few years back...

these playoffs have been fucking terrible and the hope was that at least the HOU/GS series would be good before the inevitable finals asskicking happened...those games have been fucking shit...

I'm guessing they don't because they got theirs, but they woulda gotten theirs anyway...just woulda been spread out and Harrison barnes and chandler parsons wouldn't have gotten like 20+/year...

I havent watched a single game except for the first 2 Blazers round 1 games, then I knew they were toast. The rest of the NBA just is not interesting to me anymore. A couple superteams and the rest of the teams acting like they might have a chance, just to keep the fans coming. I suppose Boston is a fun story, but no way that team wins in the finals. Be interesting if they had Kyrie and Heyward.

Year-by-year my NBA vs NHL playoff watching fluctuates....this year the NHL is killing it with the better storylines. I wonder if some books are really starting to sweat a Vegas stanley cup win.
