You draw tenuous parallels at best. My parents chose to come here and I consider Australia my home. I can return to Great Britain whenever I desire.

Let me approach this from a different perspective, I'm sure the fantasy will appeal to you.

Let's say that tomorrow some all powerful extraterrestrial organisation decided that the United States was to be shared with Africans, who arrive in their millions against your will and are gifted substantial amounts of your land on the pretext it was to be equally shared in harmony.
If they then decide they want it all, and over the years they take it away from you and your countrymen piece by piece, while they murder and abuse whoever they please.
Let's also assume that fighting them is not possible as they are stronger then you, and of course they are supported by aliens from another galaxy with far more advanced weaponry. They also possess the ability to make your own weapons useless, so any chance of defeating these fine upstanding chosen ones is impossible.
You'd just leave and try to live in a land, far, far away? You wouldn't simply flee to Mexico or Canada if this was a safe haven? Let's also assume that Rump has built a special wall that makes Mexico and Canada somewhat immune to these aliens special powers.

Are you describing what white people did to the native Aborigines? I admit I don't know Australian history that well, but I actually imagine it was a lot worse than that. Probably more in line with what we do to the American Indians, where we just killed most of them, took all the good land, and forcefully relocated the few survivors to the worst land in pretty much the whole country. Strangely, no-one here seems to have much of a problem living on all the land stolen from the Indians. Certainly not offering any right of return. I imagine Australia is much the same. I don't see too much news about white people offering to give back the good land there either.

I get it. Why inconvenience yourself at all, when you can just project your guilt onto others thousands of miles away and ameliorate your guilt through them.

The Aboriginal people of Australia have several hundred thousand square kilometers of land, about 10% of the country at last count and increasing.

They have special rights and special laws, in the future they will have even more land and rights. They build casinos and receive royalties from activities like mining. Kinda similar to your own indigenous natives.

It's not the perfect solution, but at least they live in the country they consider home... not that this means anything to you.
