McGregor has 3 fights left IMO: 155 w Tony/Khabib (with Khabib being the preference so he can fight in Moscow), GSP (at 155 or 170 in either Cowboys Stadium, Croke Park, or at the Rogers Centre), and the Diaz trilogy (at 155-160, possibly as a boxing match...cringey I know, but so is "Zuffa Boxing" and that would be some stupid ass shit they would do to launch the brand).

im guessing he ends up facing both tony and khabib.

eg when he faces the winner of tony v khabib at 223, regardless of win/loss hes probably going to face the other one immediately after, because that one likely will string together another win in the meantime and conor's cleaned out the rest of the division for all intents.

he might face nate for #3, i could definitely see it, but i could also see him deciding to renew his contract and just sleep walk through lhws for another few years, because money.

I get your point but it's better then the alternative of cancelling the fight outright.

Props to Max for stepping up on such short notice against the most dangerous fighter at his weight class in UFC who doesn't have a belt.

Props to him for sure , but I have to imagine he is getting paid a lot for this. It really makes no sense for him to otherwise take this fight. Max isnt your typical replacement fighter. He hasnt lost since 2013 and beat up Aldo last two fights. Khabib has shown that he can get hit. I get it is short notice but +350 is a good value.

Props to him for sure , but I have to imagine he is getting paid a lot for this. It really makes no sense for him to otherwise take this fight. Max isnt your typical replacement fighter. I agree, I think Max can win this fight if he's been in the gym regularly. Bummer that the fight was cancelled but this is a kick ass replacement.
