I will tell you this though about exhibition baseball - split squad aside. There is no fucking way any sportsbook can set an accurate line. They are too busy. They cannot possibly follow how Boone wants to work Stanton, Judge etc etc.

Usually they get both a website (with lines and all that), plus a mostly-useless customer service 800 number to give their clients.
I think it's a flat fee. I don't believe they have to pay a percentage of each bet placed.
When a bookie doesn't pay the site, he gets shut out and all accounts under him stop working.
A few of those sites also assert some moderate standards over scammy bookies. That is, if they get too many reports of no-pays or other unethical behavior, they also shut the bookie out. But some also don't give a shit, as long as the bookie pays them. Often they only give a shit because affected clients start harassing the 800 number with frequent phone calls, and they don't like that.
