No I don't but right here right now I will straight up contradict his falling knife opinion, BTC will rebound several thousand dollars and the banks will continue their long/short game because it makes MONEY.

    Two months tops ? LMAO

We'll come back to this thread and you can go over this post again with me, at that time we will agree that the "made guy" was wrong and celebrate the new financial institutions introducing new vehicles to bet on BTC and make money...oh ya that's right you'll still be holding that bean real tight though.

Listen I am no believer, all good things end, BTC has many issues facing it but falling knife, two months? No.
Just my two cents, I'm hearing plenty of rumblings from folks who are usually right.

With these sort of things you often see a new level of hype right before the implosion. *edit* combined with the huge swings of like 10% both ways in hours. This sort of volatility is very concerning. But it's bitcoins so hard to draw parallels.

I expect some serious government intervention very soon... and I'm not going to try and catch the knife either.

Bitcoin is on life support, the US government has had enough. It was kinda harmless, but now it's gone crazy they need to stop it.
They will use money laundering and other criminal activities as the main reason to go after BTC. Other governments will follow suit.

I give it two months tops.

Lot of money to be made if you can catch a falling knife without losing your fingers.
Do you know who this guy is DonaldTrump?

I’m not saying I never dabbled. I’ve done my share. I have traded every possible way short of buying on Coinbase. I am 100% out and made my last purchase at 8500 from an ATM.

I prolly will never buy a Bitcoin again god willing
And yet he made $0. There is no need for govt intervention. The crypto bubble will eventually collapse on its own, just don't know when.

It's not just our 4 big banks here in Australia that are doing this, most of our banks are doing the same. Funny how they're all doing the same thing at the same time... I'd say this is coordinated action.

Andrew Bailey, the Bank of England's head financial regulator who now runs the Financial Conduct Authority has said new regulations are imminent to combat money laundering and criminal activities associated with Bitcoin.
He also said “It’s not a currency, it’s actually not regulated in its bitcoin form,” “It’s a very volatile commodity in terms of its pricing. If you look at what has happened this year, I would caution people,” “If you want to invest in bitcoin be prepared to lose your money – that would be my serious warning,”

Kinda absurd that they're all talking about money laundering and the criminal side of things when you can't trade in Bitcoins without proving who you are and supplying identification. This is the agenda they want you to believe.

    https://www.businessinsider.com.au/a...entity-2017-12

"In November, economic secretary to the Treasury Stephen Barclay said in a written parliamentary answer: “The UK government is currently negotiating amendments to the fourth anti-money laundering directive that will bring virtual currency exchange platforms and custodian wallet providers into anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing regulation, which will result in these firms’ activities being overseen by national competent authorities for these areas.”

He said the government “supports the intention behind these amendments,” and negotiations are expected to conclude at EU level in late 2017 or early 2018.

A Treasury spokesperson said in an emailed statement, “We are working to address concerns about the use of cryptocurrencies, by negotiating to brig virtual currency exchange platforms and some wallet providers within anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing regulation.”

I think youre making important and valid points. The lack of attention people are paying to the torrent of government regulations that have already passed and the absolute shitalanche of ones coming down the pipes is fairly astounding.

But if I can make one point.. there is no 'good exit strategy' if you wait for the music to stop before you grab a chair, unless you consider weeping into your drink and telling anyone who will listen how much you were worth once upon a time a viable end game.

Selling a certain percentage when you think the price is high, or buying some ridiculously low strike price put options with your profits maybe?
Divesting with a combination of writing long term call options with the coins you hold combined with put options with profits might work.
Don't see a lot of choices yet in regard to options though.

I think there will be a huge run-up before they blow their load. And it will be a spectacular implosion not just a large correction. They could be $30K by the end of January.
Not a matter of if, just when.

You stated "falling knife" and "I give it 2 months tops". Yes we all know to have a exit strat, discussed just a page or two before for the 100th time, no you have scared no one (except Sanlmar). You now have back peddled from falling knife to it will " huge run up...$30k...end of Jan...not a matter of if just when". Hhhmmm why not catch the falling knife and make $17k per coin? You are now contradicting the advice Sanlmar is taking to heart.

This isn't a political race or a PR issue on this forum you either stand behind what you said and believe it will continue to drop to ridiculously low levels and you wont catch that knife over the next two months "tops" or you don't.

Be real sad to see you back step and make Sanlmar look stupid after he called you a "made guy". Bottom line is by mid to late Feb if Bitcoin is near death and dropped like a rock you were right and a genius. If not...

All the best my Salty friend assume you still own plenty of BTC since you mined years and years ago. And btw I do not disagree it will fall dramatically one day just not any day soon

    Since you edited your post.

It's not a contradiction, I'm not sure if the recent run-up is the death knell tolling, or if it's coming soon.

Done with catching falling knives, lost too many fingers.

I did edit, during your posting likely.

So now you are simply not sure?

That is fine, making two bold claims then stepping back after further thought is completely natural, I do it all the time (second guess myself) it's what makes us human.

Do you work in the legal profession? You're good at putting words in ones mouth. Or perhaps a cop? "any reason why you were speeding sir"

As I said it's just my two cents, a ventured opinion.

If you want me to be specific, I think there will be a big spike in the next few weeks followed by a spectacular implosion.
