Jesus, I think Gaethje was involved in the two best fights of 2017. Alvarez by KO late in the third. Just a brutal war.

Gaethje got away from those leg kicks for a lot of the second. He looked super gased most of the fight and Alavarez just battled through it. His cheek is so swollen lol

It was weird he didn't stick with the leg kicks, he took some wicked body shots so maybe that took away from them a bit. What a fucking beauty, Gaethje is so much fun but he's gotta change his style or he will lose a lot of fights against these top UFC fighters.
Gay-thje has an amazing chin.
He ate a lot of punches and that kick at the end of the 2nd.

For sure he has to change his style and can't just stand there eating those shots. He has so many tools that he could implement in a more thoughtful way. His leg kicks are incredible, he has good short hooks and he can wrestle. Nobody can just stand in the pocket and let themselves get hit over and over as a strategy against the world's best. The pace he fights at is nearly impossible to maintain so a better strategy could also help his cardio.
