Well, felony theft would cause that profession to go away, which was probably caused by her pill and gambling addiction. Her best job at this point would be in a remake of The Grifters playing Annette Benings role. She does that well.

Her leaving because she felt pushed out is a huge LOL. She left because her grifting ass was outed. If she didnt have aspirations to rape the wallets of the weak here, then she would have included her criminal record in her Confession thread. Seriously, for what other reason when you spill your love for drugs and gambling would you not include the consequences of those addictions? Because you are still addicted and need more cash.

So by all means Michelle, come back, tell the true confession, but I know you won't because you won't have anything to gain but sympathy from an 8th tier poker forum.
All fair points, but there's another very possible reason she didn't out the fraud arrests in her confession thread.

Part of Kilgore's allure here was that she seemed to be a female with everything -- attractive, intelligent, successful, and the ability to blend in here and be "one of the guys".

Admitting to drug and gambling issues was part of her attempt to relate. This is a poker forum full of sick gamblers and many admitted drug users (whether past or present). It was unlikely that her confession was going to elicit responses of scorn or disrespect.

She made several posts in the past regarding her enjoyment of living life on her own terms. The drug/gambling thing was part of that, and her road to get away from that also painted a narrative of someone who took control of the situation before it became too late.

Admitting to repeated (and recent) arrests for fraud, bad checks, etc is a whole different matter. You don't resort to stuff like that -- especially at age 40 -- unless you're either a career criminal or have hit rock bottom. This narrative also would have interfered with the "successful lawyer who stopped practicing but could go back anytime" storyline.

Basically her confession post painted a picture of a successful person with their shit together who let their life spin slightly out of control (who then veered back on the right path), while her real story paints a picture of desperation and questionable ethics.

Much of the admiration she was shown here came from a place of respect, and I don't think she wanted to give that up.

Like others here, I would love to hear her actual story, because she seems quite different from your typical low-end bad check scammer. I bet the truth would be far more fascinating than the persona she built up here.
