After this story broke in the WaPo, everybody asked the same question: "Who the fuck is funding O'Keefe?"


In response to that, O'Keefe made an appeal asking the public for money. But everybody just laughed and called it a scam.

But to me, it's a clear diversion from the fact that's he's already being heavily funded by those trying to quash the Moore allegations. And it seems to have worked.

One of the things that came up in triage after the election was that Obama effectively ditched the DNC during both of his presidential runs and formed his own grass-roots campaign group, basically cutting the DNC out of the equation entirely. So when Hillary turned to the DNC to do their job, she found out the hard way that most of the relevant info was locked away in the (now defunct) Obama org coffers.

So yeah the case can be made that with Obama essentially merging his grass-roots campaign infrastructure with the DNC's, there is a lot of potential there.
