before it's all said and done, trolls like me may have to testify before Congress that we are not Russian
People's attitudes about advertising are hilarious and fascinating to me. Everyone thinks they're above it. "Pfft, I ain't lettin' the TV tell me what toothpaste to buy or who to vote for!"
Billions have been spent studying human purchasing behavior, and billions more are spent in advertising every year off the fruits of that research. Tech companies track what color buttons and font styles make you more likely to click on things. Retailers know that your caveman brain is 11% more likely to buy that $1.99 widget than the $2.00 one because it somehow perceives it as cheaper. Even novices like me can run split tests to determine which adjectives to put in headlines to make you click on videos.
But nah, none of that shit works. You're all perfectly rational robots with full access to your subconscious mind.

russia literally organized competing protests on american soil.
the senate just read facebook the riot act btw and nailed a 3 pointer from mid court with something like "in case you have not noticed, cyber war has begun", and 24 hours later im getting bombarded by recruiters asking me to join facebooks security team. that is not a coincidence.

Wait, people actually believe Hillary lost because of Facebook ads?

Who knows? That's really beside the point. Regardless of what party you cheerlead for, are you really okay with a rival nation exposing 100 million Americans to their propaganda?
Anyone who shrugs that off is a retard, and anyone complicit in it is a traitor.
Does this guy have a goiter?
Late to the party bud, I said something like this 50x in the Trump train thread, they don't care, they just keep spewing libtard propaganda as fact
Edit: persuading ppl is the easiest way to win votes and the dems thought rising demographics and persuasion was all they had to do until maybe the world's greatest persuader fked em in the ass
The Russians have been exposing Americans to their propaganda long before Facebook was even invented. And I don't believe for a second they knew Trump would even be the Republican candidate. I do believe that Putin wanted Hillary to lose. She fucked with him back in 2011.
Anyway, I am concerned with Trump being re-elected to another term and if fucking idiots try and claim Hillary lost because of "muh Russians!" that narrative will most certainly guarantee another Trump term.
Are you really letting yourself get sucked into this conversation, SS?

We are at war with Russia, we must deploy our fraudulent fb likes and our most aggressive Twitter trolls, NO MERCY
THEY WILL GET WHALLOPPED
Sounds like you guys have a bit too much personally invested in this being a non-issue and are doing some mental gymnastics to downplay it.

Nice to see Mueller taking a broader mandate and pushing Pence's goofy shit in too.

So no one else thinks maybe, just maybe, Hillary lost because of shit like this...
