conor just informally retired.

unless the new owners have a radically different perspective on this, its a non-starter. this is why fedor never signed with the ufc, its something they simply refused to do.

Was going to go to this fight but my boy bailed on me to go to AC with his gambling addict girlfriend.
I guess I should be used to this. Smh.
I actually don't blame him considering how the UFC has fucked over the fighters in the past but agree he basically retired because this ain't happening unless new ownership has some different plan.
I'll be waiting with bated breath for Dana's vitriolic response for the lol's.

No lines on a possible Ferguson v McGregor fight, i see a Khabib v McGregor and Aldo v McGregor line tho, wtf.
Also a Lesnar v Jon Jones line lol, where Lesnar is the dog
I know Jon is amazing, but against Lesnar he's marginal, one punch and it's night night.

I think for this to become true a fighter must be as valuable to the UFC as Conor is. Nobody else other than maybe Rousey has even been close. I don't think the UFC needs to give in on such demands to the next tier of ppv fighters below McGregor. They need the UFC way more than the UFC needs them and they are all replaceable. Conor isn't, he's the fucking man and he can make such demands.
Great card tomorrow night. Here are my picks.
GSP vs Bisping - I was thinking Bisping but after listening to Sonnen and a few other guys more knowledgable than myself I'm going to pick GSP. He will wrestle fuck his way to a decision. That being said I have absolutely no confidence in that pick and really have no clue what to expect. GSP is more skilled and technical, Bisping is a fucking animal and a pure fighter.
Garbrandt vs TJ - picking Garbrandt and I think he may finish TJ. Garbrandt is too crisp and fast on the feet.
JJ vs Rose - JJ in a dominant decision.
Thompson vs Masvidal - I think Thompson fights his way to a safe decision win. Masvidal has super crisp boxing and good power, Thompson will keep out of range, kick a lot and out point the dangerous Masvidal.
Hendricks vs Costa - going with Costa. Hendricks looked fat and awful at the weigh ins. I've heard he has a significant drinking problem which would explain a lot of his weight issues. In recent interviews he seems off to me, something is wrong with him. I don't know a ton about Costa but he looks the part and there is a lot of hype behind him. UFC is putting him on the main card of this PPV for a reason and I think Hendricks is a big name they can use to showcase Costas skills.
UFC Heavyweight 5 rounds
Must take place by December 31st 2017 for action
thats 8 weeks away, its not signed, neither fighter has entered a camp, so the line on this fight happening would likely be around +2000.
but yes.. lesnar has fists the size of lunch boxes, hes going to outweigh jon by 40 pounds, and hes going to freight train him through the fucking cage.
i hope it happens tho. lesnar rd1 tko is going to be cashasaurus with a bit of a hedge on jones decision.... lol wait i just saw its 5 rounds. plenty of time for jones to find something ugly to damage.

One weird story about Hendricks is the first time he ever tried mma. He went to xtreme couture with his dad or something, and they during the course of whatever they do your first day in mma, he ended up sparring Phil Baroni, and tried to knock him out, as the cocky young strong guy would do. So Phil decided to teach him a lesson and knocked Johny out, and was more than happy to do it. Johny left that day and told his dad (I think it was his dad, but whoever he was with) that mma wasn't for him. They went home, thought that was the end of it. Johny got up the next day and was psyched to go back to xtreme couture, his family was like WTF? I thought you hated it after you got knocked out?
He had no memory of any of that. Severe head trauma practically tricked Johny into MMA. He learned the lesson in the moment, but his mind never stored any of it.
costa rd 1 tko.

Uhh aren’t you missing the bigger issue Tine. Both these clowns are under USADA Sanction for pissing hot. Lesner still hasn’t answered for UFC 200s debacle and Jones is facing anywhere from 2-4 yrs for his second suspension. This can’t happen because nobody will sanction the fight legitimately so unless Vince McMahon wants to put them in a steel cage under United MMA rules this won’t happen possibly ever.
In an unrelated note who the Fuck thought holding a World Heavyweight Title fight for Wilders WBC Title tomorrow night down the street at Barclays while UFC 217 is going on at MSG. Totally fucked themselves on potential gate by holding these cards the same night.

God damnit, Bisping looks drained as fuck, fuck now i have to double down on GSP.

Bisping always looks rough on the scales but rehydrates well. If anything I was worried about how GSP looked. He looked muscled up and bloated.
Regarding a Lesnar vs Jones fight, I think Jones absolutely clowns Lesnar and I hope that fight takes place. Jones has outwrestled far superior wrestlers to Lesnar (Cormier) and Lesnar is terrified of being hit. Awful matchup for Lesnar and he will get humiliated in that fight.
