    Yeah, its a continuation.

No way Winona Ryder would bang Sean Austin.
Maybe Rudy wouldn't fuck a bitch that steals clothes. Did you think of that?

also Kali=Roman=Eight but now I'm seeing you said it's just a rumor it's about her. It better be about her... as a third lead character behind Elle and Mike.
Actually no I didn't think about that. Took me a few minutes to figure what you were talking about.

Did recognize your avatar, thought she was a black chick with a funny voice. Come to think of it, maybe she was darker in 11's flashback,

    Anyway.

Finished up the series & not disappointed. Not quite as good as last season but it was new then & not a major difference in the 2 seasons. Thing they have gone as far as they can with this story line. Anything more would be beating a dead horse money grab. Don't know it they can come up with a different angle or not.

Have a problem with the Sean Austin death scene. After barely escaping the demon dogs he stands in the lobby staring at Winona Ryder while they are banging away at the closed doors. Who the hell would not keep running, maybe grab WR, & get the hell out of the building. If they want to kill him OK, but the scene wasn't close to being real.

Well put. there is some meat left on the bones. we spend a _lot_ of time in goonies land this season and they can easily pivot into a more situational plot as it progresses. as everyone is signed on for two more seasons, I can only imagine thats whats next.

or how about cops guns blasting the dogs to pieces in the elevator shaft but literally having no effect at all when they are clawing away at Samwise Gamgee.

again, whatever, they went the goonies route this season where logistics dont matter as long as the kids get to enjoy their youth and cop some ass at prom.

clearly they arent trying to make a sci fi epic for the history books but i cant knock the hustle.

I forgot about that part. When the cop & 11 are loading up to go back to the lab & he starts grabbing guns, I thinking "whys he taking guns, thought they didn't work against the demon dogs."

Just finished. Wow. As good, as the first season, if not better. Finn and Millie are so cute together.

This scene was pretty interesting. I did not have any showers in high school, nor would I have used them, but I don't know if this type of stuff happens.

Besides the touchy stuff, I honestly thought he was gonna grab his junk or make a move.

a _lot_ of people are shipping their relationship already, plus his dad calls him faggot and all sorts of other things make me wonder if season 3 is going to reallllly piss off middle america.

Glad it's just not me and wishful thinking. Also didn't like the racist angle with the stay away from Lucas shtick. I get the whole I have a shitty father and I'm alone so I lift weights and act like a dick but there was no reason for it

I completely agree. Also that ass whipping he put on Steve was fucking horrific, none of that shit was cute to me. My biggest concern is this leads up to a 'violent damaged gay guy dies to redeem himself because gays cant live happily ever after' trope.

Honestly this season was not great.

I expected one of the kids to be like "Wait" and open the fridge to show that thing inside and then have him join the rescue. He just got dethroned by the now alpha of the town, and by all logic, should/could have died in the final episode. Now that Billy is top nigga, where does Steve go? He lost his bitch to Jonathan, and isn't top dog anymore. Maybe he isn't coming back?

I would ship them for sure. Steve is def a bottom

Dont forget that Steve just graduated high school, hes not guaranteed to be in s03, especially since there is supposedly a time jump between now and then.

But that said he's the only character that had any sort of development arc sooooo..?

    Just finished this.

The Lost Sister episode was weird, and pretty much disrupted the show. They grounded the entire show to a halt to temporarily turn the show into a bad knockoff of "Heroes", set in what looked like every other film noir cityscape we've seen over the past 80 years.

Ignoring that, the season was pretty good. I agree it wasn't quite as good as Season 1.

Yes, there were some plot holes.

As already mentioned, guns either stopped the demodogs or they didn't, with no rhyme or reason why they sometimes worked and other times they didn't.

Also as already mentioned, the dramatic pause by Bob when he nearly escaped, stopping when he saw Joyce while the demodog was banging on the door behind him, was unrealistic and nonsensical.

At least make it something like he trips while running to her. Dying because you inexplicably stop running when you're feet away from the door is just .... well, not satisfying for the viewer.

If the demodogs are part of the hive mind, how did Dart break from it and let the kids pass? And why was he off by himself?

I assume Max's dirtbag brother will be fleshed out further in Season 3. Interesting character, but they didn't end up doing all that much with him.

The gays are already angry because of the use of the word "idiotic" as an insult. I wonder if sonatine is right that Season 3 will introduce some kind of gay romance. Netflix might not want that, though, if this is their golden goose loved by all. They're already taking some heat for the quick interracial kiss (lol). But honestly, the show is set in the mid-1980s, when homosexuality was nowhere near popular acceptance. When I was in high school in the '80s, not a single person was out as gay -- and it was like that at every school. They can't really depict a gay relationship in the '80s without having to make it about the homophobia and objection surrounding it, and that's not really what Stranger Things is about.

I agree with herbsttemple that it will be tiresome of Season 3 is just a rehash of Season 2.

Clearly they left the shadow monster intact so there's something to do battle with next season, but how many monster stories can they really tell?

The dead demodog in the freezer is likely going to mean something in Season 3 (perhaps it's not really dead), as they didn't touch it at all this season after it was frozen. It's clearly there for a reason.

The spores are also likely to mean something, but didn't they just do the "human infected by creature from the upside down" plot?

Anyway, we won't be discussing all of this again until 2019.

I think the biggest problem I have with season 2 is the lack of innovation.

Season 1's premise was fucking incredible; the DoE punches a hole between dimensions, something escapes from there to hunt in our world, a kid gets trapped there, he communicates with his mother via manipulating electricity and spells out to her "IM RIGHT HERE", not to mention the other dimension is fucking incredible with its own fauna and environment so on. Honestly that shit was wicked ass.

Season 2 was just a comic book style excuse to do some back stories while checking off boxes on iconic 80s films. It did it fine but I almost feel that without the The Lost Sister ep acting as a lightning rod for criticism, we might be dragging the shit out of it.

im entirely inclined to agree. the whole in-house production phenom is about to crater. every time i see another desperate commercial for amazon's 'the tick' i die a bit faster than usual.

sometimes i forget how heavily invested netflix is with this shit and ill log in to see if they have some random kurosawa film in rotation (they dont) and im confronted with actually and literally thousands of hours of C- instantly forgettable nonsense.

and its all so specific in its tastes, like the target demographs are so painfully specific. are there really enough 15-17 year old feminists who self identify as poutcore wiccans to justify another entire series about a misunderstood teenage girl with quirky fashion sense and telekinetic powers?

even the big ticket items are trash. Jessica Jones is luridly expensive to produce. and i dont care how many times she gets railed in the shitter while drunk, that show is still gonna be unwatchable because, news flash, the writing isnt that great. it does ok because there are just enough middle aged cat owning alcoholic women to keep its numbers interesting but news flash, none of them bought netflix accounts just to watch it.
