They would have to drag Verlander off the mound in a straight jacket unless he shits the bed.

    He is not Cuckshaw.

I think this series comes down to games 3 and 4. Kershaw and JV win 2 games each

Ya Kershaw quietly told them he was still feeling good. Do you think Madbum or JV would let them take him out without a fight? Hell no.

Regardless strong performance by Kershaw. I don't see the Astros touching him next time.

I'm rooting for him even though he raped the Yanks. If he does good, they will show more Kate Upton. If they show more Kate Upton and her gorgeous tits bouncing up and down, we ALL win.

I was watching on my phone while doing other things. So I would like to know - have the announcers developed a narrative for this series?

Can the team that spent the most money win it all? Oh snap. Finally overcoming their stupidity and failure?

Is it a David and Goliath story? Hurricane ravaged Houston and the kids vs LA?

Have you detected a bias yet?

This comes nowhere near the obvious storyline last year.

Watched game and didn't hear any of that tbh. Straight up ball game, no partiality that I could hear/see.

I will be very disappointed if Druff doesn't take his son to a World Series game .... and it most likely wont
come back for game 6 or 7 . So this is it . Delay the fraud show another day and take little Benjamin . You probably
wont live long enough to get another chance . 30-40 years ?

Ill even donate my freeroll and other unclaimed prizes ( about 50 bucks ) so you can buy him snacks and a foam finger or some other crap.

He saw an NLDS game, enjoyed it a lot, got to be on the Diamondvision board (2nd time in 3 games this year for him), and sat in great seats. Even got to see his dad come inches away from catching a foul ball.

    That's good enough.

Probably not going to any World Series games this year.

Dodgers are a very good team and probably will make other World Series in the coming years. They have young talent + deep pockets, so it's hard to believe this will be their only trip for the next 3 decades. They have to be the favorite to win the NL in 2018.

Yeah, there really wasn't any narrative.

Was mostly talk about the two starting pitchers, the generous strike zones the ump was giving to both of them, and beyond that were just talking about a few individual stories for each of the players.

They did talk somewhat about Houston's struggles on the road in the postseason. They just can't seem to score runs.

Aside from the AB where he walked, Chris Taylor hit the ball hard every time. Two hard outs (including one which involved a good catch in deep center), and that leadoff HR.

He and Turner have just been huge this postseason.

Bellinger looked terrible today. He had that one good NLDS game, but other than that he's been kinda fail in the playoffs, with a lot of strikeouts.

    Good enough for YOU !

Reminds me of this guy . Who at 6 years old in 1945 , was told by his dad he was too young ... and promised to take him the next time the Cubs were in the Series ...lol

So this could be future Ben ... in 2088 .

This is exactly why you guys don't deserve a championship. If the Yankees didn't win one for 30 years, I would be going to every game

I can't bring myself to pay $1500+ for EACH seat.

    Just too much.

Have to draw a line somewhere.

If I got something decent for under $1000, I was probably going to grit my teeth and do it.

The 1988 team, as much as I loved it, luckboxed its way into the championship. No doubt it was a good team, but the Mets were better, and the A's were way better. Orel Hershiser did for that team what Madison Bumgarner later did for the Giants, and the team had all kinds of unexpected offensive performances (including that weird miracle HR by injured Gibson) to push them over the edge.

I'm bringing this up because it's no surprise that the 1989 version of the Dodgers was a failteam, just as it wasn't a surprise that each Giants team following its 2010s World Series wins also sucked.

The Dodgers are different. There are so many pieces to why this team is good, and they have the big budget to fill in any holes. Obviously the postseason is a crapshoot, but at the very least, the Dodgers are making the postseason in 2018, and there's a good chance they finish with the best record in the NL again (and perhaps baseball).

Now, yes, they could be like the Braves and shit the bed every year in the playoffs, but honestly I think they are positioned well for the long term.

When they make it again sometime soon (and Ben will be a little older), I bet it will be a lot more reasonable. Right now everyone is jumping on it like it will be the last chance until 2046.
