Gregg popovich (Spurs head coach) made a statement that we need to "talk about race to make people uncomfortable" (I am paraphrasing). Of course the liberal sports MSM and all the libs are lapping this up and agreeing vehemently.

Of course what he doesn't say that is explicitly understood is that this only applies to specifically talking negatively about white people and white privilege. I doubt Mr Popovich or any of the other libs want to have any sort of uncomfortable discussion about the high rates of violent crime, children out of wedlock, STD epidemic or generarional welfare in the black community.

So basically this is just another case of another wealthy limousine liberal white deflecting his own guilt onto people who don't have any privilege at all, and advocating for free speech he doesn't believe in at all. It is real easy to talk about how we should take away white privilege when you know it is other white people and not yourself who are the ones that are going to be doing the paying.

But if you think he (or any other white person in this country) would feel as comfortable talking about black problems in a public arena as they do taking shots at (mostly poor) white people you don't have a very good read on today's political climate. Talking honestly about race issues would be career suicide for pretty much any high profile white person. Pretty much all any high profile white person could get away with talking about race is criticizing "white privilege," which is why most high profile white people won't comment at all on race politics. Which is why I found his position that we need to address uncomfortable topics which all the SJW types on ESPN and social media are lapping up very ironic and hypocritical.

Also, I don't know much about Pop's politics. I know he is really into war history. I actually would have assumed he was more conservative because of this, because white guys really into war history tend to skew more right wing and if you did deep enough you can normally find some Confederate civil war and Nazi war stuff in their closet (pun intended).

Like Druff said, you could literally replace the word "white" with 10,000 other words and it would absolutely be a real thing too, and in many cases much more appropriate. According to the current narrative the man in the top picture is being oppressed by society and the woman in the bottom picture is a beneficiary of privilege that should be ashamed of it.





Like I said, the people that love the throw around "white privilege" the most are rich people, especially rich white people. Because they get the best of both worlds. They get the lions share of the benefits of privilege AND they get to demand that others (non elite whites) who have much less privilege, if any, pay for it, both socially and economically.

I didn't say it was a liberal construct. I am saying it is a very convenient self-serving term for mostly rich people to use to get poor people to attack each other verbally and physically while they keep cutting out for themselves a bigger and bigger piece of the pie.
