hope fully this will work in Nevada even though there are 4.5 million more people in WA than in Nevada, 7K thats a lot of herb growers. I am sure the market will even its self out at some point as growers shut down production for lack of sales. It will be interesting who will win out on this the large operations or the smaller local outfits? i guess we will see soon enough.

Dude... we get over 40 million visitors a year. Population numbers don't mean a whole lot here. I expect it to go past 50 million a year once we start allowing public consumption.

Ya Ya Vegas is the only city in the USA that gets tourists.

Seattle alone last year exceed 38 million visitors not to mention it is a very large costal state most every inch is inhabitable and normally 72 F , unlike burning hot 110 F Nevada. were would you rather be?

And the $4,500 comment by Baron... No offense, but... Comments like this are simply uneducated comments. I know of SEVERAL dispensaries in Nor Cal paying in excess of $4,500 a lb for Zkittlez by 3rd Gen Farms (taste the strain, bro). Certain types of award winning strains will fetch this kind of dough on the regular even in highly saturated markets. If you own a dispensary and you want to be one of the select groups that carries that very sought after strain, that is what you pay and you still make keystone on it. Laugh all you want about the dispensaries paying it, and the rich connoisseurs paying those prices.

Nice comment...and it shows how some producers have adapted to competition---by developing premium product and branding, thus segmenting the market...in any industry there is room for big and small companies because there are enough customers that will pay extra to buy a product that specifically suits their real or imagined needs...that is how small companies compete

What the fuck? In light of the recent Equifax hack, I drew the conclusion that this sketchy looking transaction was fraud, and reported it as such to my bank.

It was some time later that I figured out this was the dispensary. Why are they being so shady about this when it's regulated?

The banks want nothing to do with marijuana. Same with bitcoin. Doesn't matter if it is regulated or not. It is also to hide it from the wife. The local strip club will say it is a steakhouse on the statement if you use atm/credit card.

Because we are still federally illegal we have to jump through hoops to keep bank accounts. It's a giant pain in the ass, but it beats the shit out of dealing in cash.

I called my bank back to let them know it's valid, so hopefully this doesn't fuck up their merchant account or whatever. Pretty annoying that it has to be like this, but I suppose I should have googled harder before cancelling my card lol

I always do my best to avoid those atm's considering they usually charge at least $3 on top of your bank charge.

Are you guys planning on ever expanding your Matrix brand to other states?

I know because of the federal illegality of everything, you can't transport across state lines, but if you guys had grow facilities in different states dialed in the same, producing the same consistent product, that would be pretty huge to already have that name recognition and market share before federal legalization.

Only tricky part is getting those clones to the new facilities. I know a lot of pioneers in this industry have taken huge risks obtaining some strains, but now that things are more established it would be crazy to risk losing a current license in a rec state with tourism like NV.

Just spent a few awesome days in Tahoe, got back this morning. Saw some awesome lakes, mountains, hot springs, cool trees, Yosemite, etc. Of course, another highlight was breaking my dispensary cherry. We were checking out places on the internet for near Tahoe or Reno, but there a clear, superior course of action available to us, and we chose that one. My brother messaged vegas, and he showed us the way. Reno it was.

We hit up 2 different places vegas recommended, one on Saturday and one on Monday night before I hit the airport for the trip back(rest of the crew was there for the week). The first place was Blüm (Reno was lousy with umlauts for some reason), we got a few different bunches of gummies, and a couple grams of grass. The 2nd place, who's name escapes me atm, we made a more expansive purchase, adding cheeba chews, drinks, and more flower. Given the testing these places go through, the huge overhead of these places, and the quality of the stuff, you can easily come to the conclusion that you are getting a pretty fine bargain. The 2nd place, they had a more impressive display of their items, with a full terpene breakdown of every flower, shit like that. Kunt will know the name.

Was it a debit card? The dispensary I work with (as an attorney) and patronize (as a mmj patient) accepts debit cards but not credit cards.

Also, the pax ploom was a very overrated portable vape. I'll take the volcano and no portability for flower (or a regular oil cart/pen battery for portability) over the pax ploom any day.
