When you say overseeded do you mean punched and sanded? At the course I played most often they would punch(aerate) and sand the greens in late summer. The sand was significant and if I wasn't a member I'd be pissed if I wasn't forewarned of the conditions.Originally Posted by vegas1369
The courses I've been playing lately are all over seeded on the greens, so they are really slow. They are so bad right now that when you come in with a high iron you actually see a splash of sand when the ball lands. It took me a while to adjust, I ended up leaving a lot of 15-20 footers 6 feet short, then missing by less than an inch. Really frustrating, especially when you are hitting the ball well and getting on in regulation. I should have had a 38 on the front easily, but ended with a 40.
That being said the first course I ever played was sand greens where you dragged a mat between the hole and your ball before putting
