So ya all i'll say is if he updates his glasses, and his shoe selection, he'd shed this nerdy image you seem to portray of him for sure.
If he has very wide feet, New Balance is the best sneaker brand for the money, especially if you have large feet. They are super confortable and long-lasting. I wear mine every day here out on the road and they hold up quite awhile before they wear out.
