I haven't even had to make a payment on the house yet, how could it be in foreclosure? I got a construction loan for 800k. I put down 650k for a total of 1.45m plus the lot which I payed for in cash (235k). I deposited 10k into the bank for a lower interest rate. It's interest only until the house is completed like 3.45% I think. The bank uses my down payment against the builder draws before the loan money. To date, the builder has drawn around 50% so I think of the 10k deposited like 9200 is still there as of last statement. I won't have to dole out any more money until closing which is probably Oct or Nov. That's when it may get dicey because I'll need close to 50k to close.
