Been through a few benzo withdrawals, doh. The first was hell as I ignored any warnings about withdrawal. At least a week in bed. The others I got someone to take me to a doctor's office or emergency ward as the nastiness progressed. Benzo's are subtle and some types have a long half life, leading me to believe I had dodged a bullet.
I used them to counter the side effects of stimulants so no euphoria in my case. I know combining them with alcohol is advised against but if you add a stimulant you're good to go.

For sleep issues, Gravol provides me with about four hours of shut-eye 9/10.
