Xanax and alcohol are a terrible combination and can kill you, but if you are coming down from alcohol and a massive loss and the alcohol is out of your system, it will stabilize you enough not to want to noose in the AM. The beer will carry you the rest of the way and the next day dont drink at all.

Xanax by itself in excess is the devil. I use it 3-4 times a year at most and always for the situation above or International flights when you just want to pass out.

Xanax for international flights is an absolute must. Last time I flew I popped a .5 from Dubai to NY, slept/was zonked for most of it and stepped off the plane basically fresh and ready to go.

Otherwise, yes, far too degenerate.

Exactly. I used to drink on long flights, but when i arrived, I would be a mess. The great thing about Xanax on long flights is that even when you are not asleep being on a 12 hour flight isn't so miserable.

Either friends have them or get them at annual physical. I just tell the doctor I hate flying and want Xanax. He gives me about 10 for the year which last two years. I know people that have taken it every day for years. I have heard it (and Benzos in general) are worse than heroine to get off once addicted.

Been through a few benzo withdrawals, doh. The first was hell as I ignored any warnings about withdrawal. At least a week in bed. The others I got someone to take me to a doctor's office or emergency ward as the nastiness progressed. Benzo's are subtle and some types have a long half life, leading me to believe I had dodged a bullet.
I used them to counter the side effects of stimulants so no euphoria in my case. I know combining them with alcohol is advised against but if you add a stimulant you're good to go.

For sleep issues, Gravol provides me with about four hours of shut-eye 9/10.
