BetOnline Live Dealer cheating (video) and they possibly have hired former Absolute Poker Payment Processor Brent Beckley

I've watched the video in the clip and have played on this site. The thing is they don't need to cheat to win over the long run so the card could have just been stuck but the dealer clearly messes up.

They just recently went from 50% penetration to 25% on an 8 deck shoe for this particular dealer site and their hand shuffle seems very weak as well but I've never made much out of it.

watched this clip a few times...no fucking way that was a screw up...seems like he intentionally flicks the first card to deal the second...funny thing is is that 2 of the players weren't affected so he only really fucked the third player who would have broken even if he dealt it right...

If he dealt it right, the 3rd player would have 19 and the dealer would be on 16 and drawing another card. Who knows, maybe they all lose. Looked like a brain dead dealer and nothing intentional.

Don't get me wrong it looks very intentional to me too even though he seems distracted which is the only reason it might not be. The thing is he flicks his finger a few times that we see in the slow mode that makes it seem so suspect.

Even though they don't need to cheat to win and seems silly to do it given the house edge the greed to get money faster from people could make them do this shit.

A lot of things can happen to give live dealer blackjack additional edge. Someone can timeout not betting in time, their internet can fail mid hand,etc... They might get lucky to win a hand they normally wouldn't but more times then not they will lose more when this happens.

As for how the dealer could know what the next card is their could be a camera build in the scanner where maybe he has the ability to see something, is given a signal in the background, or told in a headset that the next card isn't good for him.

The 6 he was suppose to get will bust him frequently so if their is enough in placed bets the casino could pull this angle where a few people will win but not everyone.

I'm speculating a lot here of what could happen on these sites but how often sketchy stuff goes down and which sites are doing it who knows.

Forgive me but Brent Beckley and the innovative payment processors should be lauded by US players as brave heros and thanked for their service.

That Betonline is seeking out the best minds to overcome the absence of civil liberties in the US and provide a harmless service that our citizens value demonstrates its dedication to its customers.

My only concern is that Betonline didn't protect the identity and privacy of its humble servant. Of course, this raises Betonline's profile with the gestapo.

No idea why the dealer flipped up the first card and grabbed the second, but it's hard to believe that he knew which one to grab, and the reward to BetOnline for this shenanigan was minimal.

Basically, the risk/reward ratio for the site to do such a thing was WAY too high.

You can't compare this to the superuser thing on AP/UB, which was VERY lucrative. You also can't compare this to the Full Tilt money theft, which was even more lucrative.

Regarding Beckley, he shouldn't have a job in poker.

That's the bigger problem here, and the bigger story.

He was heavily involved in the AP cheating. No one should hire him or trust him. I don't give a shit that he was arrested for payment processing. That part would have been fine. Chad Elie was also arrested for payment processing, and I like him. But Beckley is a stone cold poker cheat, and he has no place holding any position in poker, even if they think his expertise could be useful.

Not too much of a stretch to describe payment processing as civil disobedience and political prisoners.

Coincidently, I am a Betonline customer. My experience has been excellent. This is thanks in part to illegal payment processing.

I have availed myself of the history of online gaming. Particularly payment processing. I recognize the processors hold a float and often take it as a parting gift when they exit their relationship with the online site. I understand the stress this loss puts on the site and the risk it presents to my funds.

I am an educated and calculated consumer. I do not need big daddy to look out for my interests and I do not cry for those who are less well informed. I am not my brothers keeper.

That said....

This is just a hot take and I look forward to Druff's discussion during the Fraud Show.

Druff made his bones via the Absolute Poker revelation and 60 Minutes. I will filter his opinion accordingly. There is a continuum of fraud and illegal behavior. We will see how objectively Druff presents his argument.

I stumbled (Mumbled) my way onto the following article. The author clearly was enchanted by Beckley and his story. Still a fun read.

IIRC, Beckley could be directly tied to superuser accounts, especially when the big data dumps came out over time. To quote from the great and good Haley Hintze, :

Several such accounts carried special notations like PotRipper's: "Please do not close this account for any reason. Issues please consult with Brent, Adrian or Nolan." So the customer-level support staff was being warned to leave these accounts alone, and this Brent is believed to be Brent Beckley, Scott Tom's step-brother, also involved with AP from its inception.

I'm just messing around a bit with Beckley. It's a little bit of "light regulation" tweak. I don't care if processors are violating stupid laws. Instead, I admire their pluck.

Knowing Beckley's relationship with the others you knew he wasn't pure. Yet I did find it odd that CalvinAyre.com and others are careful not to imply anything more than processing war crimes.

You gotta be curious about Betonline's motives in hiring Beckley. Processing in the age of Bitcoin has got to be easier than its been in ages. Maybe that's just my personal experience coloring my perception.

It would be interesting to hear a processing player like Chad Elie give his take on the landscape of online. You won't get it from PFA it would appear.

Their is some lag and the screen goes black at times too. The technical difficulties might just be terrible internet in Costa Rica but who knows.

This guy who put this video out did another yesterday on his channel claiming they offered him 250k to take it down but he is no sell out. ROFL ok sir I'm really believing that one. I wouldn't recommend anyone watch this it's 2 hours of him ranting but I skipped around and heard him say it a few times along with them making threats to him too, so he claims.

I think there are a bunch of books that use this same live dealer. I see the same dealers in their other games like Baccarat. They don't handle player money so I suspect they get a certain percentage of winnings from the book. If BO wants to save their reputation they should find another live dealer service.

I can confirm 5Dimes is still using them but once BetOnline and Sportsbook pulled out about a week ago which they won't give you a reason why they did the site has less tables running.

BOL and SB are now using a different live dealer.

I am not too familiar with how Panamanian live blackjack services pay their dealers, but could it be possible that this was just a small contingent within Betonline that was trying to make a little side money for themselves?

Maybe they receive a commission of the total take on their table, or they may even be working with one of the players to siphon a few hundred/thousand per week on the side.

The fact that it was obvious doesn't negate the fact that it was probably intentional. Many people try to cheat blatantly and I think if he hadn't been flicking his fingers around before pulling the second card, no one would have been looking at the shoe, as they mostly just stare at where the card is landing and not the source.
