The reason there are more young men coming in to Europe is two fold.

1) They risk dying, getting robbed and/or arrested. None of those are pleasurable family activities. So they have this wacky idea of sending their least vulnerable member of the family to face riskiest part of coming to Europe and if that individual gets accepted to any EU country they can then send for their whole family.

2) Syria's median age is 24 years. For comparison in US it's 38 and in Germany 46 years.

You're are more or less wrong. That wasn't even the main culprit of Brexit. Randomly guessing the 3 most likeliest countries to leave are Greece, Italy and France. Oh dear. Could it possible be that some of the refugee men in Germany have spouses that are not yet living in Germany. Quite possibly living in these fore mentioned Arab contries.
