For the clowns on this board who think it's okay to let everyone and anyone in the country I hope you and your family first hand get to experience the fright, panic and helplessness of a terrorist attack without getting either killed or injured. But I'd like for you to live the rest of your lives knowing what it feels like. Then we'll see if your tune changes.
It's easy enough to come on the Interdork and spout the nonsense but let's see how you react when you're in shopping mall and some islam loving nutjob storms in and starts shooting everyone.
This right here is everything wrong with your way of thinking in a nutshell. You paint this black and white story like we're just letting in every jihadist who wants to enter the country.
The REALITY of this situation is that we have the toughest vetting process in the entire world and are not just letting anyone in. The REALITY of this situation is that this executive order would not have prevented the 2 attacks (Boston and San Bernardino) that are being used as an example of why this executive order is justified, which it ain't my racist friend.
Your problem is you're so far right you don't even realize it. I'm absolutely center, you just don't know the definition of it anymore. Honestly before the right wing basically took over your party I considered myself a Republican. Loved Reagan, grew up with 2 Republican parents... But even both of them don't and didn't (father passed away in 2010) recognize your party anymore.
You guys have changed man, I've always been right here in the middle where your party was always supposed to be.

You heard it here first
Leisure Suit, my brother, i respectfully submit my opinion on your post
Option 1 - so what?...15 billion one time is okay with me, its only 4.5 years of military aid to Israel...that said, i think tighter borders with Mexico is worthwhile even if the US has to pay the bill--i live in one of the states bordering Mexico
Option 2 - ever heard of product substitutes and elasticity of demand? consumers make their decisions to buy based on price--a tariff is a cost that the importer/seller bears and tries to pass along to consumers--but if there are product substitutes (i e, whiskey instead of tequilla), the seller has less control over price as consumer may switch--thus the only loser then is the importer/distributor that often times has paid off politicians to limit competition via regulations/licensing restrictions
Option 3 - Mexican embargo vs US? wish they would embargo their exports of poverty & crime to the USA, most of the Mexican illegals are ignorant even by Mexican standards--stands to reason an educated Mexican would stay in Mexcio where he has a good living relative to other Mexcians--its those with little to lose that come here (primarily Northern Mexican, who are very much like Native Americans rather than Spanish culturally)...as for embargo of products, it would hurt them more than us...and other countries more than willing to fill eventually any void

In all seriousness, pretty surprised to see this ban. I thought he had backed off this idea, but obviously not. I could understand possibly putting a 60/90 day moratorium on all refugee/immigration across the board on all countries, if it served some kind of purpose, like restructuring/reevaluating the vetting process, but trying to guess peoples religion, and keep a certain group out just isn't practical at all.
Factual stories everywhere about residents of America being denied entry back into the States and deported already.
Most of these people have lived there for years and all have contributed into the tax system that has helped keep your streets clean and arses safe.
The outrage has gone global and I'd love the big prominent leaders of this world to retaliate in kind. Like maybe start deporting American students and workers back home until Trump either backs down or gets put down.
I mean look at the list ffs
Iran for a start are Isis biggest enemies, while your good friends in Saudi are Isis biggest friend.

this decision was 100% steve bannon, who coincidentally just got appointed by trump to a national security role. i have no idea what happened to the "extreme vetting" that trump talked about during the campaign. i shouldn't be, but i'm surprised to see paul ryan out there defending this. i guess they'll just support whatever he does until their agenda is passed.
i was trying to be optimistic about trump's presidency, but with his going on television and telling the world he loves the use of torture, and now this, it's pretty fucking depressing.
and no, i'm not a liberal. i hated hillary and would have voted for any republican (except trump) over her.

Just watched Giuliani justify not including Saudi Arabia on the list by saying "this isn't the same Saudi Arabia it used to be, the new prince understands our issues with Islamic Terrorism"...
And all the gullible FOX News/Trump supporters eat this shit up like it's the simple truth.
Baaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaa
