The difference is that in Canada, even the Conservatives will admit to the truth, such as the fact that Keynsian stimulus is sometimes necessary and worth spending at a deficit when needed, whereas in the US the Republicans deny even the most obvious facts like evolution. That is why Harper spent at a deficit to stimulate the Canadian economy without breaking the bank. It's called good government--Canada has one, the US doesn't.

What kind of woman, after learning that her husband not only cheated on her once, but had a long term girlfriend and serial flings with the addition of multiple rape allegations, one of which cost your family $850,000.00 in a settlement from your man's improprieties - stays with him?

wow, chris matthews of all people just crushed hillary on hardball about the new emails about the clinton foundation. i guarantee you there will be articles published about this in an hour or two, but the cliffs notes version is that he told his viewers, you "could still vote for hillary," but you know what you're getting and that people don't change once they get in office. he didn't outright say it, but insinuated she was totally corrupt

and yes, i'll still vote for hillary cause of the reasons i said earlier, but wow what an awful candidate.

Assange got the timing right from his perspective, unless you somehow think he's not in Putin's pocket. If you still believe Assange is mildly interested in news/truth, he really left Bernie hanging when he could have used some support to validate his claims that DNC was heavily favoring one candidate over the other in primaries. But nah Assange cares more about disruption and chaos. Hence the timing and this is what Russia has been doing for decades with various forms of disinformation.

Dunno if Assange was always leaning towards Russia or did he honeypot himself to that side, but he definitely has chosen a side. For the most part Wikileaks has avoided clearly false information, they just rely on timing and selective pieces of information to cause disruption when needed. Saying that there's a mild bias in their leaks would be justified or maybe there's isn't anything to leak from Russia's side and vital information requires that you sit on it for months while hyping it's future release.

Right right, so a person who studied economics in school is good at economics, therefor Donald Trump must clearly be well educated.

All I am trying to infer is that you don't need to be a career politician to be successful. I would even argue that having experience in the private sector/real world, would further benefit a leader POTUS.

Sure having experience would help, but if you look at Trumps experience you find out that he's good at lining he's own pockets while his employees, contractors, lawyers, customers, investors etc. get screwed. That guy is the last person you want protecting the national cookie jar and giving him any power is just retarded.

Trump had political advisors that lobbied for the Marcos family. Marcos was notorious for embezzling by third world standards. Have you got any idea how much you need to steal from your country to be known from that in the third world?

my guess is assange is not a huge fan of putin either, but reaaaaally hates hillary, so he'll be happy to assist the russians if it means diminishing her.

another possibility for the delayed timing is that assange (possibly based on what he read in the dnc emails, collusion, superdelegates, etc.), just didn't think there was any possible way that hillary wouldn't get the nomination, so he may as well save them for the general.

even if that's the case, though, i think he botched the timing, as he should have released them pre-debate to give trump some talking points before record breaking audiences. at this point, a lot of early voting already happened.

you know, one thing that i have never seen discussed is whether a spouse of a two-term president should even be allowed to be president. i get that bill and hillary are separate people, but there's something a little weird about bill going right back to the white house after he already served the maximum amount of terms in office. how weird would this have looked if hillary ran immediately after bill's terms expired? it would have been like if michelle obama decided to run now (she would have won by the way). i don't know. i never see this talked about anywhere, but it seems weird to me, almost like cheating the system.
