Point is you were "vetted" by DHS no more than a person applying for a passport would be vetted. You tried to make it sound like they did some thorough check on you and it's simply not true. You said yourself you never had an in person interview.
I in fact made a few personal calls today and inquired about the process of obtaining a merchant mariner certification, as I don't deal with that in my day to day. What I learned is we have in no way shape or form given you any security clearance, approval, vetted you, etc. So please quit acting like you passed a rigorous DHS background because you didn't. You couldn't. A 5 minute PFA search would exclude you

I think it's beyond highly unlikely that you actually work for DHS, but if you did by some miracle manage to secure a job with them, I'm certain they hired you in a 'top level position' that takes into account your extensive resume'
