I keep hearing the criticism for Hillary and her 1996 "super predators" speech, referring to dangerous criminals who repeatedly commit violent crime in the inner cities.

She has been taken to task for "racism", and nobody will acknowledge the elephant in the room that (for once) she was spot-on correct.

She didn't say "super black predators". She was referring to those engaging in repeated violent criminal behavior, and how they were ruining the inner cities for everyone else. She did not mention race.

However, in the PC world of 2016, everyone is screaming "racism" and even Hillary herself is attempting to pander by apologizing for such a statement.

We should have a colorblind justice system. A black man should not suffer more of a penalty than a white man for the same crime, but he also should not suffer LESS of a penalty simply because we're trying to reduce incarceration numbers by race, or because we're trying to "be understanding" about their predicament.

If you commit a crime, you should do the appropriate time for it, regardless of your race, income level, or social standing. That should be our goal in criminal justice.

When liberals complain about the high percentage of black men incarcerated, rather than attempting to attack the root problems in the community for this, they attack our criminal justice system as "racist".

Even if there is a moderate amount of racism in our criminal justice system, the overwhelming reason so many black men are in jail is because so many of them are committing violent crimes, and they are growing up in cultures which glorify such behavior. Liberals are refusing to acknowledge this, and today's rhetoric simply blames racist society, racist cops, racist judges, and privatized prisons.

This should cost Hillary the black vote but it won't.

You're painfully stupid and Druff is correct, because he was alive and remembers the reality of the situation.

The crime bill was passed during Bill's first term. Every big city was Chicago now. She made that comment in early January of '96, the election year. Political demographics were basically the same then. The Clintons relied on getting close to 90% of black vote then to win, same as now. The black community wanted that bill badly. Do you actually think this was at all controversial then? You think they were passing legislation unpopular with black voters during their first term?

If it was any type of dealbreaker, they never pass that bill or Bill loses badly. I recall a few people didn't like the terminology, like Sharpton, but it was nothing. A small issue. She apologized for term. The majority of people weren't Bernie-supporter millennial soft then. Bernie supporters tried to make a deal of this but black voters weren't having it. Why do you think that is? Because the young black people got heated and their parents explained the truth to them, and Bernie had the whitest-ass coalition ever. You care more than they do.

In not shocking news, The Trump Foundation never got the proper certification in NY state to receive money from the public. That would have required an annual audit showing if any of its money was being spent for the personal benefit of its officers- and obviously The Donald isn't going to allow that.

If you don't feel like reading this whole thing, the author is saying that murders went up 10.8 percent in 2015 versus 2014, and even more than that in certain big cities such as Chicago, Baltimore, and DC. He is complaining that fellow liberals are trying to cover this up and playing fast and loose with statistics (such as zooming the stats out to include the past 10 years), because they're afraid that acknowledging the increased murder rate will embolden Trump and earn him votes.

The author is angry at his fellow lefties for being dishonest about this situation, and finds the supposedly black-sympathizing left to be hypocritical in letting more black people die just because they're afraid to admit the situation is real.
