Funs fun but real talk Johnson would have gassed in about 120 seconds and Dustin would have beaten him the fuck up something fierce.

Somewhere, OSA has some gel of his own and is giddy about this matchup:

Gall vs Northcutt might be the most meterosexual and gay MMA fight of all time.

fight will genuinely and legitimately never happen. gall has never faced a top 100 talent, basically. its pure risk for northcutt and would only sideline his belt aspirations for 6 months.

I think its almost a no-brainer that it does happen. The storyline is perfect, Northcutt was going to move up in weight for a fight or 2 anyway, they've both called out each other and accepted, fan interest is there (as much as can be with 2 guys at this level)...

The line that really interested me in your response, tho, and the one that made me post, was this: "would only sideline his belt aspirations for 6 months." LOLwut? Sage is years away from being the top 10 in ANY weight class, to say anything puts off his belt aspirations by 6 months is kinda insane to me. I mean, with God for him who could be against, I understand, but reality is Sage is years and years away from any belt talk, even with the promotion fully behind him. With that said, if the promotion wants to push a guy into a title shot, they clearly don't care about individual losses, even right before giving people title fights.

Agree......the UFC has had a hard time lately getting ratings for their UFC FN offerings on both FS1 and Fox, and this is the type of fight that would be perfect to sell for those offerings as a main event or co-main. I could also see it happening as a middling part of their PPV card around the end of the year at UFC 207 (the EOY card is a historically loaded card for the UFC). Rousey vs Nunes is also potentially to be slated for UFC 207, and having both her fight and a Gall v Northcutt fight would add some marketing towards "casuals" and the TMZ crowd, which the UFC covets (as that's where the growth is, as they know they have us MMA and gambling junkies watching every show). Add a PVZ fight, and the UFC will get plenty of free marketing for the Dec 30th show.

Northcutt says the 155 cut is hard for him, and facing a relatively new-yet-also-up-and-coming prospect at 170 in Gall is a perfect fight introduction to the division. It's also great for Gall too, as if he beats Sage, he can talk his way higher into a potential top 10-15 fight at 170.

Sage is 8-1 with tons of stoppages and highlight reel moments, and the UFC hype machine was painting him as some sort of Aryan whole milk superjesus whose ascension to belt relevance was a forgone conclusion until the moment he got caught. Gall wants him because Sage's ground game is weak. And Sages manager aka his dad is saying exactly what Im saying; a win over Gall counts for absolutely nothing, it simply sidelines his path to belt relevance for at least 6 months, possibly longer if he gets hurt, possibly for literally years if he gets caught again by someone who is only slightly better at MMA than FPS_Russia.

Sage has star power and a cult following. He can easily headline UFN cards and draw. All that goes away if Gall finds his neck.

It's business and its super basic and obvious.

Sage is responding to Gall's "callout" because it keeps the spotlight on him, and Sage's dad is nixing the fight because its retarded not to.

    Universe... in harmony.

did you type that with a straight face? or were you busy stuffing it with sour gummies while sitting at the desk you spend 16 hrs browsing PFA on? Simply astonishing watching you rage on me since I spearheaded your exit from AIM crew. Glad your getting some bites from Sol's side chat tho. You must feel like you actually have a few friends again.

"IM me to come wreck you for sport"

you mean how you pop in the stream for 30 seconds, say nothing, then leave the instant I address you? Fucking pussy.

Apparently I mean the whole fucking world to you, bitch. You've been obsessed since 09, since you first got one of your many chins checked.

Sage's dad said that there was no way they would fight gall AT UFC 205, which was when the callout was for. The reasons he gave were the same reasons sage gave for not accepting the fight at UFC 205, namely he'd been fucked up with staph and hasn't been training normally for a bit now. Sage said he'd like mid-december, maybe his dad would prefer later, but I can't find anything where SAge's dad says "no Gall fight at all" or similar like you suggested.

Gall is, maybe by a wide margin, the easiest 170 fight Sage could hope for, never mind be called out by on a PPV main card. If, somehow, he managed to pull a loss out of the hat, he would simply go back down to 155, his real weight class, and the place where he is undefeated, and the All-American Sage story would continue onward. There's no lasting damage, because he's still quite young, and all that really matters in the UFC is your last fight anyway.

Its totally possible I confused his message about 205 with a flat refusal to fight Gall. If so, Mea Culpa.

If anyone is looking for a live dog, Bigfoot Silva at +360 is your ticket.

Hes fighting Nelson. Both are 1-4 in their last 5 fights. Bigfoot however has been getting KO'd like fucking crazy and thats why the line is so severe. Thing is, Bigfoot is getting KO'd by total head hunters. Nelson has had one KO in over 3 years. He also has tiny little t-rex arms and hes going to need to close the distance with Silva and somehow reach that giant melon to score a KO.

Now.. chances are just fine that he will body Silva in the first round and that will be that. And if this was 2012 Nelson I'd never question his abilities. But Nelson has looked like cold runny shit for his last five (5) fights and if Silva can use push kicks and lateral movement to avoid a Nelson blitz in the first 120 seconds, I genuinely believe he will score more on the judges cards and outmaneuver Nelson against the cage, which is where Nelson always takes his fights when he gasses.

Lastly....speaking of judges cards..... the fight is in Brazil.

Im not going to bat an eyelash if I dont win this bet, but I feel really, really strongly that there is enough value in Silva at +360 on his home territory fighting a freshly unroided Nelson to justify a strong play here, so Im basically stacking my Johnson and Brunson winnings here, and maybe MAYBE I'll arb slightly if the Nelson rd 1 TKO prop strikes my fancy.

Also fair warning this could easily be another Hunt v Lesnar debacle where Nelson roids like crazy before the fight because he would rather get a fight coming off a suspension than get shitcanned for losing 5 of his last 6 fights.
