These are made by the original Armalite Corporation. The designer of the AR series and what the AR actually stands for (for those who somehow actually still think that AR stands for assault rifle)
They are fitted to fire 5.56 NATO rounds or .223 (down the road I may get another in a larger caliber model, but this is great for now)
For those who have never had one, my GOD these are nice tight well made weapons. They are like a tinker toy for gun owners so to speak, in that the possibilities are endless in how you can refit them, add extras, etc etc. They can be used from everything from small varmint hunting, to larger game, to home defense. So, to clear up some of the hype, THAT is why gun owners like them. And I got them for a steal. I just couldn't go wrong.
As in some of the pictures, I have a scope on one of them for now and have another one of the same type on order. I couldn't go wrong with a 4x12 scope (with mounts INCLUDED) that illuminates in 3 different colors, for $100!
