A year or 2 vacation before the 3rd/last fight with McG sounds nice. I checked the WADA code, and CBD ain't mentioned at all (as opposed to THC), but with USADA as police/judge/jury/executioner, I can't imagine that matters here. Nate's motivation for fighting has always been 2 things. Following his brother/hero, and making a living fighting, because what the fuck else was he gonna do? Now, in the space of a few months, Nate has made enough money to never have to fight again. He doesn't live an outrageous lifestyle, and probably will end up making over $10m this year from those 2 fights. He ain't going back to fighting for less money, but who's out there that can draw huge with nate? Not many people. GSP of course because all the reasons, sure, but who else? He doesn't want the title shots because of the responsibilities it brings, and nobody else is on the same level of star power outside Georges. So, unless they figure out a huge fight for Nate outside the Conor fight, he's more than happy to not fight at all. Conor has to defend his belt next, says the bossman, so a decent vacation for Nate seems like the most likely scenario.
ok got it, i assumed he must have specifically said something outside of his 'you wont see me until i fight conor for the rubber match' declaration, which i generally took to be more punch drunk than contract negotiation tactic.
obvos he has plenty of reasons to semi-retire but its been brought up here enough to where i assumed it was a thing.

It could be a good move for Rory helping his resume out to win a belt over in Bellator then jump back to UFC when the time is right where he will only have to fight once to get a title shot. I'd be curious what lured him to Bellator the most.

Nick Diaz ended up in the middle of a huge brawl while partying at Hyde nightclub in Vegas early Wednesday morning ... TMZ Sports has learned.
A rep for the club tells us the UFC fighter went to a bathroom outside the club around 2:30 AM, and accidentally stumbled into another customer ... who started talking smack. We're told Nick apologized and said he didn't want any trouble, but 3 other men then joined the first guy and jumped Nick.
Nick tells us, "I didn't start it. They didn't know who I was."
He tried to defend himself, and got hit hard in the head -- and then the fight spilled out of the bathroom, and out onto the Bellagio's casino floor.
The melee was insane -- the club's rep says the attackers were swinging chairs and brawling with club and casino staffers. They were eventually removed by security.
Nick told the Bellagio he didn't want to press charges, and told us, "They got the worst of it."
