Black dude, who is NO STRANGER TO BREAKING LAWS, goes ahead and kills his girlfriend, his girlfriend's sister, and his girlfriend's dad (all three of them have different last names too....doesnt any family on the south side have just ONE last name in the house?). Scumbag had a long criminal history.
SWAT is called in. They try to negotiate with this scumbag. They called him, asked him to come out and surrender while speaking to him on the phone. He soon after took a dozen shots at the police through the windows. Police returned fire. They got on a loudspeaker and encouraged to come out. "No one is going to hurt you," police said. "We need for you to come out."
The suspect's mother was also heard over the loudspeaker saying, "I love you. Please come on out. I want to see you at home."
This started I believe just after midnight, and lasted about 12 hours.
SWAT eventually went in after him and found him dead in the house, from a gunshot would, likely from the police returning fire.
End of story.

A big fight broke out in the baggage claim of Chicago’s Midway International Airport early Friday morning.
Around 12:50 a.m., Chicago police were dispatched to the airport’s lower-level baggage claim on reports that there was some type of “incident.”

I feel like cops get away with a lot because they always have the "I was afraid for my life," excuse. When a building is on fire, fireman don't get to complain about the fact that it's dangerous. They signed up knowing they were probably going to have to risk their lives and run into burning buildings. Cops have the right to shoot you if they THINK you MIGHT have a weapon on you. The laws are written to protect cops and not the people, and that is fucked up.
We pray for understanding as we all occasionally request back door action by accident, when we tried to call an electrician. It happens, it simply happens.

Well, I dont think Firemen are thinking that at any time, Im going to get shot at, or this fire is going to spit at me or hit me. Cops know what to expect going in, but It cant be easy going to work every day where one minute you are pulling a cat out of a tree, and the next, some 9 yr old kid got his head run over by a car, and you are securing a scene where his severed body is lying on the ground, with brains splattered all over, and his mom crying, and sirens screaming, and then you leave the scene and some gangbanger and his friends are giving you shit and spitting on you, and trying to instigate a fight with you, that they are recording so they can sue the city and hit the ghetto lottery, then you go to a house for a domestic dispute and you see people living in squalor with a kid in diapers flinging his shit across the room, and the appartment stinks like shit, and then you go to a crime scene and some dude just got his eye ball shot out, so you secure that scene, and take him to the hospital and sit with him because you still have to arrest him for weapons charges, then you get home and kiss your wife and kids goodnight. Rinse lather repeat every day. Firemen drive around and put out fires, for the most part. Still dangerous, but you typically dont see the graphic shit cops do. Its hard on people. Thats why they tend to have drinking problems and scrambled brains.
drk, they don't do things like get your cat out of a tree, or help you get your keys out of your car if you happen to lock them inside, they don't do these type of things (because it doesn't generate money) anymore and if you quote articles, these are the good guys, I'm not denying they're some good cops, there are, the problem is they're not here to help us anymore. they are here to generate revenue for their city government.

public intox tickets/arrests (picking up the bums at night, ticketing wild white people in wrigleyville for drinking right on clark street or pissing their pants)
DUI arrests
drug arrests (they only ticket for marijuana up to 14 grams now bc the states attorney refuses to prosecute any misdemeanor drug crimes. but on the west side, over in between where I live and where DRK lives, they have whats known as the heroin highway. They will arrest anyone for just about anything there. Homeless with a nicklebag of china in your pocket? See you in bond court! They just go up and down cicero ave stopping and searching everyone they want.)
Parking enforcement (The cops can and do write tickets, it's not just those LAZ parking people. And street cleaning lasts 7 months a year here, and they just go up and down the streets writing them out)
and they do a lot of this bullshit law enforcement in nicer wards/ neighborhoods because that way they can say "well, we did technically bring the crime down X% look at the number of arrests." they never take into account what kind of crimes people are being arrested for, violent or non violent.
