OKC is playing well and matches up well against SA.

But hard not to take SA -1.5 in a must-win game.

I agree with you on this one. Both teams have proven they can win on the others home floor and Spurs have to be hungry.

Popovich has been great in his career adjusting strategies up and I'm surprised he's waited so long to do so but he will tonight imo.

Not a great night for baseball picks, imo

    You doing ML for Brewers?

Gonna keep riding the Red Sox offensive barrage. I caught this wave early & we will see how long it lasts. Sox facing 3rd lefty in a row and have won last 2. Astros traveling to Boston after a 16 inning game. Bullpen issues, of course.

Price still a question mark and I'll accept whatever runs he gives up with the total bet. He's working on mechanics but you gotta show me.

I see this bet combo as a rinse, worst case. Low risk.

cant do it...line has moved to -142, which I guess is good for the MLW side...I like the side, but like I said I just cant get behind that price for nelson even though he is just such a much different pitcher at home and he's pitching against a really shitty team against RHP...

    Detroit is a dumpster fire.

    Disclaimer:
I just want to be clear. This Boston thing is not coming from a homer.

I have a huge season under 87 wins bet. Shit for pitching and at spring training you are looking at Pablo Sandoval & Hanley Ramirez at the corners. Rusney Castillo in left field.

The way baseball works big money players always play. Regardless of performance. $50 million/yr does not sit on the pine. I am looking at a lock.

Lewfather's Dumbrowski sits Sandoval's fat ass this year. Before he got hurt. Castillo gets shipped to minors. This shit is unprecedented. Big brass balls Dumbrowski.

If Red Sox play .500 til the finish I am looking at 87.

Red Sox are just a situation where,to date, the books can't price them right. No one is throwing an 11 or 12 total line up, for instance. This should have been done Oakland series.

I am looking at Red Sox once again on the 9 over -110

    Red Sox (Wright) knuckle ball
Astros (McCuller) 23yr old kid coming back from shoulder issue. Always a control issue on the mound on a good day.

I love the knuckle ball weather plays. Dickey and Wright. Closed dome? Humid or dry weather? That kind of shit.

Tonight it is supposed to rain. Knuckle baller's grip is much more problematic in wet weather than other pitchers. The whole thing is so tenuous to begin with anyway.

The books do not price or adjust for this shit. The market is supposed to do that.

Just rambling for fun and still shopping. GL

    edit:
fuck it gonna rain till 11pm
gaming a rain shortened game or a game so fucked up with delays

Tigers blew a 5 run lead last night. The lineup is still stacked as hell even but they are getting shit from the starting pitching. It was actually the bull pen that was doing well until the last 10 games and now they are stinking it up as well.

    A horrible/inexperienced manager is a big problem.

You never know what you will get out of Verlander and this all or nothing offense. GL

Poll....with records/what we know now after about 20% of season, how confident are you that the World Series Champion will come from one of these teams...

    Cubs
    Mets
    Orioles
    Nats
    CWS
    Mariners
    Red Sox

I have a significant futures bet at very long odds on one of them I placed before season, and I might throw 500 down on each of the others now to get me to worst case scenario of losing 500 if Cubs win, but significant upside on ALL the others if they win (ranging from +2000 to +7000) or so. My original team pulls it out it is +15,000. Or I could lose it all if some random team happens to turn it on and win, but it seems this year there are a handful of teams that really look to be favorites over the rest. I don't see that team outside of this group really, but it is kinda sorta early.

    That's hard to do.

Long way to go with injuries and stuff. But we have a pretty good idea what each team is about.

Da Cubs. Even if a Cubs pitcher goes down, or anyone else for that matter, Theo Epstein has the money, the bullets and the stones to add pieces. There are always regular season heros in slap nut divisions. Them Cubs are built for tournament play too.

this is a very good list given what we know now.

Why not share the mystery team and all the particulars. Why do you feel you need to hedge now? You brought this up. So give it up.

    Of course, GL

    Verlander was great.

The Detroit offense.... not so much.

I tilt-bet Seattle -1.5 +135 when they had bases loaded down 1-0 in the 4th. Then I tilted even more when they only scored 1 run and it went up to +200 immediately.

Now it's up 5-1 and looking pretty good(though Angels have 2 men on, no out), but boy I wish I got that +200.

I really, really run awful in baseball this year.

    This was the worst one.

    Seattle up 5-1 in 7th, I have them -1.5.

    Angels score 2, it's 5-3.

    Mariners get 1 in the 7th, it's 6-3.

Angels come up with 2 in the 8th, and it's 6-5. Fuck.

Mariners come up in the 8th. Aoki (very fast runner) gets a leadoff walk. With 1 out, Cano hits a deep ball which almost goes for a HR, but instead sticks to the base of the wall. Is there any chance a super fast runner like Aoki doesn't score on that?

Answer is no..... UNLESS HE MISSED 2ND BASE!

    Which he did.

So he had to go back and touch 2nd, and by the time he did that, he only got to 3rd.

To review, a very speedy runner who was GOING ON THE PITCH didn't score on a deep double where the ball literally stuck to the bottom of the wall.

So runners on 2nd and 3rd, one out.

    Cruz whiffs, Guitterez strikes out.

    Inning over.

My only hope was to get to the bottom of the 9th and get a 2-run HR, but now Angels actually took the lead and will probably just win.

The Mariners came into the game 16-0 this season when leading after eight innings.

Plus, the Angels are just awful..

Today was an ugly day. I'm in Vegas and bet huge on Miami +150 and their starter was pitching a gem until Donnie baseball pulled him. Relief pitcher gave up a game tying blast 30 seconds later. Needless to say they lost. Then I launched on Seattle and Steve Cishek fucked me in both holes. Lost 2 big ones and won a medium rockies bet.

Got whitesox, rockies, dbacks tomorrow. Risking 5 dimes a pop. Hilarious that they gotta get authorization on 5k bets. This is an mgm property not a peewee downtown casino. My local bookie takes 10k per mlb game all day long. Even will do 25k on NFL. But a casino sweats it?

Don't take it personal. They were probably checking you out to make sure you are not on a list of known runners for a sharp.

Been running so pure. I have a bad intuition. Don't know why. You don't find spots like this too often. Just feeling reversion to the mean with the offense and Buccholz has looked better than the wretched gutless awfulness that is his career. He has good stuff but he is always afraid. Vasquez is the sort of catcher to kick his ass.

That kid Vasquez has a cannon for an arm BTW.
