I was speaking about the country as a whole. The problem is how easy it is to be labeled a felon. We go fucking overboard with incarcerating non violent criminals. If you get caught with a pound of weed once or twice I don't feel you need to be in prison for 40 years. Since we've privatized our prisons the rate at which they fill up is unacceptable.

The police are supposed to have a certain amount of cops located in those areas based on agreements made. They are well below those levels. They took police out of the white areas and moved them to the black areas. Rahm wont put more money into the CPD to allow them to hire more cops. They are 2000 cops short of their needs.

What is the problem with what I am typing? There are many people who comment and read the info I post about Chicago, and many may find it interesting because they dont hear/read about the issues we have here right now. I feel like posting about it because its a very serious issue, and could very easily affect others in major cities.

Drk and I agree on almost everything. This is the one topic that seems to get us both fired up... I think it has something to do with him being a middle aged white guy from a nice neighborhood and me being Mexican. It's a lot more personal for me. I wish Trump would have done a better job with several aspects of this speech. When he refers to Mexico not sending THEIR best, and then said THEIR/THEY'RE rapists, which word is he using? Statistically, all countries sending people here are sending THEIR rapists. They are also sending THEIR computer technicians, THEIR attorneys, THEIR teachers, etc.
I also know that border guards were reporting a very large amount of the undocumented people trying to get into the US were raping each other prior to crossing over into the US. That is a terrible statement (cant call it a fact, but is it?) and if explained properly, may have made things sounded different, but looking at everything from Gallo's perspective, I can understand why he and his family would be pissed. Rightly so. Trump tried to say "and some, I assume, are good people", but the offensive words came out already, and that line didnt soften the blow too well. When he also later addressed others coming from all over the world, it still didnt help the situation. He is right, but, the words came out terrible.
