Another huge win for Rubio.
I fell into the trap of conventional thinking, not fully appreciating the zeitgeist of the public just like the traditional pollsters & pundits.
The shit Trump was saying the week of two leading up to Iowa. It made Druff's bet look poor given Trump's attempts to self destruct. Occasionally we all think he really doesn't want to win his actions are so incredible.
Torture is good
The Pope is disgraceful
Boycott Apple
Then you remember this from back in Iowa:
He believes this but even more incredibly he actually said this. Pure gold."I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters,” Trump said.
It matters not a wit what he says or does. He ain't them. He knows this and this has been his only strategy sprinkled with brilliant marketing.
Of course, not being backed by the usual PAC money and - a huge plus in my mind - should have hurt him. I mean, you know the rules. Trump has figured out how to get free press. Brilliant.
As a true anti establishment type who hates the political process more than life itself I see this is all just a referendum on conventional politics. The disaffected middle class apparantly has come around to my way of thinking.
The notion that the other GOP candidates dropping out will translate into more Rubio votes just doesn't truck with the reality. Rubio is the usual mealy mouthed political operative wannabe.
Sander's dropping out might mean more Trump votes.
Plus, Rubio is the only guy with worse hair than Trump.
The notion that Rubio is the only candidate that can beat Hillary is tiresome.
Trump will fearlessly launch missiles at Clinton. Please, if there is a god, let's get Trump to the general election where he brings up not the lame server issue but the true gold - the Vince Foster murder. It's coming.
Trump will destroy her. It will be better than anything HBO or Showtime will try to throw up by way of counter programming.
