Also article is saying that as the actual election gets closer, people will become more pragmatic and won't be able to bring themselves to vote for a clownish candidate.

Cruz now polling nationally at 20% for the first time ever, and is now just 15.3 points behind Trump -- a gap than can quickly close if Cruz keeps rising.
    Rubio is effectively out..

    Cruz will get everyone!
    who leaves trump!

Nobody will leave Cruz for trump.. He is playing it too close to the vest and is soo politically sharp and the master above all in debates. No one will leave him..NET GAIN FOR CRUZ.

Rubio or that chick will be v.p. for Cruz. More towards that dell chick.

Trump will pick Cruz for v.p. regardless what he is saying about him now. He will flip the script when the time comes.

TRUMP would not survive as president without Cruz helping him in the background has well as protecting him from the Senate and House. FROM BOTH REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS that will gang up and try to sabotage everything he wants to do..

They would prefer to destroy this country instead of stopping the special interests here and abroad..

Our government has been hijacked. Whether your democratic or republican, this is UN arguable.

The only difference is that half the democrats and half the republicans are thoroughly on board with selling us off for the betterment of globalist billionaires and such...

The political bullshit has been exposed and it's not trump..

He brought the working tax paying class to the forefront..

And that's the way it should be..

He forever changed the dynamic of the discussion.

Cruz may very well be the nominee. He would make a better president.

But we are all better off as a country because of TRUMP.

Quoting from the NYT now? That's some serious desperation.

TRUMP WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Ive called every winner correctly since my first attempt in 1988. I even called Al Gore, who actually won, but was not elected in 2000.

He did not "actually" win. If he "actually" won he would have "actually" been president.

You can argue that the election was rigged, and I would tend to agree with you, but I also prefer to speak in absolutes, so "actually" is false IMO...

I voted for Gore that year and was praying that W lost. So after seeing Gore win the "popular" vote but "actually" losing the presidency I was very disheartened with the electoral college and our election system. I haven't voted for a president since and swore I never would again unless it was someone I truly believed in, but this time around the republicans are so God awful that I will cast a vote for the most likely candidate on the Dem side, unless it's Bernie, then I'm sitting this one out again.

We were set up as a republic not a democracy.

And Bush did win fair and square.

Dam, if u take out the illegal alien vote most of the u.s.a. is red.

Gore did win. It was the will of the American people to make him the winner. More people voted for him in the country and in Florida. If they could've finished counting all those chads, he's elected president. OMG NOT TO MENTION THE COUNTY WHERE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ACCIDENTALLY VOTED FOR BUCHANAN INSTEAD OF GORE.

    Your insane.

    Kool aid on the left.

Unlike progressive s , conservatives have no problem criticizing there own and calling them out.

I criticize Bush as much as Obama. Something libs can't do whether it's Hillary or any body else. I guess there something about that group think hive mentality or the let's all hate anybody not.like us diversity mentality. But Bush did win.

Popular vote doesn't count in a republic. It's not mob rule and states have rights.

I know like this morning u think the constitution is a piece of papper like Obama does but if dueces beat aces? I would be an online pro. It's electoral votes not pop votes for the fifth time.

Both sides do shenanigans every election but the libs have to a science and have the illegal vote and the dependant upon the welfare state vote which in turn creates more welfare recipients. It's self fulfilling machine for them and Bush still won and there has been historic red turn overs in every city, state level then ever before regardless of the previous mentioned...

    Dude what's wrong with u..

I'll let this speak for me since I'm too lazy to spell it out for you. and anyone that can raise the kind of kids he has with the turmoil that they must have gone thru has a quality that is yet to be known to those of us on the outside. I believe we will see it when he becomes our leader.

CNN, which is more to the left than the right, did a recent study on the 2000 election, and determined that GW Bush really won.

The Buchanan thing probably did screw Gore, but it wasn't intentional, and the bottom line is that it's the voter's responsibility to check his ballot, no matter how confusing. So you can't just hand those Buchanan votes to Gore because people "meant" to vote for Gore.
