Notes:
1. Rhonda did not use The Force. Her emotions were her undoing.
2. The comments about Rhonda getting hit in previous fights: I don't think any of those other women hurt her with a punch, so she felt she could just absorb them.

I don't think this is as easy as just a rematch either. From what I saw, this Holm is better than Rousey almost everywhere. More reach, better kicks, is stronger, even held her own in the grappling game. Unfortunately for Rousey, she might not be able to beat this one up. This girl looks real, real solid. And is good or can counter at much of the things Rousey lacks at like, height, reach, strength, boxing etc..
Great fight and Rousey met her match. Don't think Rousey wins the rematch either.

I don't watch much mma, but I do enjoy boxing. Stalking your opponent with your hands down without throwing punches on your way in is a very good way to get knocked out and bloody.
Okay, I've let this sink in for 10+ hours & still can't figure it out & may need someone to explain it to me.
How the fuck does Holms-Rousey win FOTN? I get that they wanted to give Holms an extra $50K on top of the POTN but doesn't this kind of stuff just piss other fighters off?
I also get there are backroom bonuses for good performances that are not disclosed but giving your highest paid fighter, & a fighter that has her own endorsement deal with Reebok on top of it all while all the other fighters get almost nothing, an extra $50K for that performance is outright insanity.

Personally, I thought the Holm/Rousey fight was one of the best fights in a while. From a technical standpoint, Rousey got dismantled by a better skilled fighter who stuck to her game plan and trained appropriately. Those kicks to the thigh to keep her at bay, the footwork to get away from danger and put herself in a better position to line up and strike, yet be able to use her footwork if things looked like Rousey wanted to come in for a grasp. She took away all of Rousey's offenses. She picked her up, took her down, then had the knowledge to know that ground work isnt her strength so got back up and delivered more of a beating, since Rousey wasnt able to use her strengths against her. When you can duck like that, sending your opponent flailing into the fence...damn....she knew the split second that Rousey's body moved a certain way that a fist was coming. Split second. Clowned her.
Watched the entire fight 4 times now...it was art.

The Matthews-Arreola match-up also comes to mind. It was a back & forth competitive match that looked like it was going 1 way & ended going the other. It also ended in a 2nd round finish.
They could've even forgone the FOTN & given 4 POTN instead because they've done that before.

That's the whole point. Holms definitely deserved a POTN bonus. How do you give a bonus to someone who got clowned & is already the highest compensated fighter on the card, maybe even the roster. It wasn't a work of art because of anything Rousey did.

Looking at Holly Holm during the weigh ins I was thinking she looked like Cyborg lite. She's juicing her ass off. Zero fat, just skin tightly stretched over unnatural looking muscle definition for a female. She's way more ripped than Anderson Silva AINEC.
Looking at her dominance in kickboxing n shit, yeah she's a prolific ped user. That test. cream can be used and give a female a huge edge and most likely evade detection. Now she's the champ tho, she may not have the time and privacy to get in a good cycle. Dana knows what's going on and he didn't seem thrilled with Holm's victory He may have Holm so busy and on the road that she has to be clean while Rhonda's able to now hide in the shadow's.
Rousey probably will not be able beat holm. We'll see tho, in the rematch if Holm weighs in looking natural n shit or if Rosey comes in looking juicey we may see a very dif. result. I can see clean Holm getting rag dolled by a juiced Rousey.
Ronda should be thankful how much fame and fortune she's acquired considering her abrasive personality, poor sportsmanship and mediocre looks. Meisha tate OTOH hasn't made jack shit compared to Rousey. Fuck Rousey, she a poor sport and was getting to big for her britches.

To be clear, I'm a Holly Holm fan and look forward to the Holly Holm era. She has nice technique and will brawl and not try to arm bar everything.
