I misspoke, but only slightly. I meant over the last 5 starts, which I assumed was around the first of August. So I will say over the last 5 starts he's been the best in the league.
Ventura Last 5 starts, 5-0, 32 IP, 20 hits, 13 BB, 4 Earned Runs, 43 K.
Kelly last 5 starts, 5-0, 32.2 IP, 24 hits, 11 BB, 7 earned runs, 20 K.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?
What are we talking about?
Red Sox? We're talking about Red Sox, man? [laughter] We're talking about Red Sox. We're talking about Red Sox? We ain't talking about winning. [more laughter] We're talking about Red Sox, man.

Garbage time. Over 9 Even.
Latos is a late scratch for Dodgers. No great loss.
Wieland 1-5 11.57ERA only 4 innings pitched in majors this year. About a 6era with Dodgers. AAA pitcher joins his AAA battery mate at catcher. LOL. I could go on.
Seager at short & fat ass AGon DH. Playing first is taxing. Mattingly doesnt give a shit here but everyone wants to hit.... this game is pretty funny actually

Red Sox 10 Toronto 1
Sox take 2 of 3. Toronto generally got their ass kicked by the dreadful Red Sox.
I need to start betting Sox overs. Sox have no pitching which is key. But their kids are hustling.
Jays v Yankees next and there might be opportunity as everyone sorta fell in love with Blue Jays. Yankees could spoil.
The Cardinals are 101 games over .500 since start of 2012 (363-262). No other team is close. Dodgers next at 80 games over.

You let the air out of a great stat when you brought up the Dodgers.
Regular season heroes & post season zeros. I keep thinking 90's Braves but Dodgers haven't earned even that comparison.
Cardinals know how to win in post season too.
Moneyball is celebrating 12th anniversary. Dodgers now make a big push to hire all the value MBA's. Many of the front office guys are experimenting with cell phones.
Joe Kelly (10-6) won his eighth consecutive start, the longest stretch by a Boston pitcher since Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez won nine straight in 1999.
Cardinals currently 5th all time with 105 straight 3+ game series without getting swept (last time was in 2013)

I'm not a huge Kelly fan but he has talent as he chucks 98 MPH and has a bunch of pitches and has some potential upside. That said yes he was fucking terrible earlier this year and he pitches traditionally terrible 1st half of seasons. He has pitched well though during this stretch with about 13 earned runs in about 45 or so innings. I also agree that it is moronic to judge pitchers on wins.
Lock up and ship the NL to the playoffs.
NL East Mets, NL Central Cards, NL West Dodgers, Wildcards Cubs & Pirates.
Just about no drama at this point. Boring final month. I turned off the Dodgers game in the middle, as they have some no-name pitcher going against the Angels, and I decided I didn't really give a shit, despite it being a 2-1 game. I don't think I'll be watching too much until October.
