25-40k (to pick a random number) to round up our boy. Since when does the government perform cost/benefit analysis. Especially judicial?

I was chiding you for surrendering second level thinking so quickly. I count on you to run counter to the mob. Trust your instincts. They are usually top top.

The reason for Micon's surrender to authorities will be something unforeseen.

Here's one scenario using the $25k line of thinking. Suppose the posse was mounting up and Chesnoff alerted Micon to the near term reality. Micon decides to willingly surrender. Looks better. Less difficult on front end.

The thread has now graduated to the thought that no additional charges (re arrest) for SWCPoker will be issued after the plea. Micon participated in offering an unlicensed gambling site to Nevada residents and made an additional effort to continue doing the same.

Why wouldn't Nevada want to got to trial? Cost? C'mon. It's a pretty sexy case for the establishment out there in sin city and not without merit.

Chesnoff and Nevada have zero aversion to a spending (making if your Chesnoff) money & time on this. Again, Micon's motivation at this time will likely surprise us. Could be as simple as Martha.

Suppose they come to a deal via phone. No advantage there? Like I said earlier a plea deal is no loss for Nevada, just the opposite. And If Micon's lawyers can satisfy the court tha justice has been served then it's in his best out despite any damages forthcoming.

sounds like you have a big woody to see the demise of Micon, YOU have 0.0 idea what will happen to him other than hopes and wishes. your analysis is well written and full of intellectual jargon. but it really is you speculating and hoping something bad will happen to Micon. Personally I hope nothing bad will happen to him or any one else on this board. I feel you must have a pretty miserable life your self to hope something bad to happen you have never met or even spoke with, especially when no one was damaged or injured and is in trouble because of a retarded law in the first place
I really am not an anti Micon guy. I find the story fascinating in terms of trying to get a read on Micon's motivation.

Micon is scrappy and anti establishment. Two traits I admire. But Micon was before my time. I personally identify less with him than most. He is an interesting personality from what I gather. He is worthy of following cause he is different. I do not believe in karma either. So I am not ever going to feel he will get what he deserves for some slight he has performed. Good guys lose. Bad guys win, sometimes. Life ain't fair, right? I am way to cynical to ever use the term justice.

Everyone here says plea & probation. Let's suppose Micon intends to fight, maybe harness Chesnoff to win a case against a weak Nevada lawyer who graduated from a state school. I'll cheer that all day.

My life recently is miserable. That is a good read on your part. I am now grinding 9-5 and forced to interact with people. Nobody should have to exist like this. This was not the plan. Praying it ain't karma.

    Is this a trap?

We discussed the Wildcard involving Chesnoff relying on Micon for complete & accurate info. You had brought up the hard drives around this point. Surprises?

Failure to mention or be complete about the new SWC is well within his range.

I think there is far less here than more, Micon was not arrested or charged with anything the day of the raid, nor was his passport confiscated. I'm in agreement with those that say his high powered lawyer has cut a sweet deal for Micon. also agree with Todd, no chance the State pulls one over on Micons attorney, These type of attorneys know all the State players not only professionally but personally....I'm also guessing the "evidence" that was removed from Micon's house after examination showed Micon while involved in a criminal activity wasn't exactly the king pin making all the money.....I'll go out on a limb here and say Micon plays the Main Event this year...DDW

Vegas-based Bitcoin poker operator to return to US, face charge
    http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/la...us-face-charge

The gaming charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine, marks the first prosecution of a poker site that used the digital currency. Laxalt said in April that it was the first prosecution of a poker site that used the digital currency.
At one point, Micon even made an unsuccessful attempt to purchase another poker site called Lock Poker, according to court documents.

“You can give me a quick google and see that I started SealsWithClubs.eu in 2011 and amassed a considerable wealth with the increase in Bitcoin price,” Micon wrote in a Skype conversation. “I plan to relaunch the (Lock Poker) brand and make all players whole.”

That site ultimately collapsed in April, leaving an estimated $15 million in player funds unpaid.
How much "considerable wealth" does Micon have?

Hockey player Paetsch pleads guilty to role in gambling ring
    http://lasvegassun.com/news/2015/jun...-gambling-rin/

A professional hockey player pleaded guilty Monday to being part of an illegal sports betting business that took wagers from other players.

Under an agreement with federal prosecutors, Nathan Paetsch will be sentenced to probation, 400 hours of community service and eight months of home confinement. He also must forfeit $265,000.

Paetsch, 32, played the last three seasons in the American Hockey League. Before that, he spent part of five seasons with the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres, through 2010.

He was involved with a gambling operation that took bets through offshore websites, authorities said, placing wagers himself and receiving credit when he recruited fellow players and others to bet.

Two principals of the operation, brothers Mark and Joseph Ruff, of Connecticut, were sentenced this year to nine years and just under 3 1/2 years in prison, respectively, after pleading guilty to illegal gambling and other charges. A third man, Paul Borrelli, of Rochester, is awaiting sentencing.

Paetsch's attorney said the player's involvement in the business was minimal, and neither he nor the hockey players he introduced to the operation ever bet on hockey.
I guess this is why Bryan Micon will return to Las Vegas.
David Chesnoff must have guaranteed Micon would not serve any jail time, even if his case escalates to federal charges.
Micon must believe that he can get him off completely.

describing micon as anything less than a principle of the defunct criminal enterprise and the kingpin of the current one seems like a stretch... thursday is going to be incredible in any case.

Druff, any plans on sending an envoy from PFA to the court house? Cletus perhaps?

Hearing might not be public, but the front steps should yield some lol photos.

WSOP cut them loose as the live updates provider. They got their own team in-house now, which doesn't seem to have been a popular move.

alot has happened over the last 10 years.now thiers new kids new women and older lives.thiers been one wsop braclet winner.as far as trouble druff cant even spell the word. hes very well respected. then thiers micon druff partner that just seems to still run into it..you cant have a poker room thats not lienced by the state..micon i see no point of you going to jail or a big fine. i want people to learn what could happen if they break the lawput you on a bail that would keep you in jail until trail time which i would need 3 to 4 years to be ready.its a word that some need its called example out of.
for you you would have to admit you were wrong and i would fine you 25k to be paid over a 5 year spam no probathion or jail time. the message to others is out thier for all to understand. if you perfer to go to trail thats 3 years away if you lose you will be a grandfather w hen you get out

I have no plans to send anyone from PFA down the courthouse, and I'm not going.

But if anyone goes, feel free to report here what happened.
