Lets say he decides to go ahead with the poker site. His daughter 20 years from now is back in the states and wants to get married. What if the whole thing blows over and no charges are brought against him. Do they need a judgement against him or can they still arrest him without any sentence imposed on him while he is in abstentia?

So if he is indicted, he just cannot wait it out as long as the law is on the books. I guess if UIGEA is overturned he might stand a chance, but that likely is not going to happen any time soon.

The stupidity of most of the posters on that site is astounding.
They're actually having a discussion about whether it was illegal for Seals to offer games to Nevada residents if Seals was anonymous and didn't collect player info.
Like they're trying to say that if you close your eyes and don't ask where players are from, then you can't be responsible for players from jurisdictions with regulated online gaming playing on your site.
Seriously, some are trying to make that point.
Others are saying that Seals simply needed a disclaimer, warning people to follow all local laws regarding playing there, and that having it would have saved them from legal trouble.
