Being a fishing guide sounds an awful lot like an incredible life with tons of job security, so I can definitely see why no one in this swirling shithole of Machiavellian backstabbing would suggest it.

The guy is clearly not going to work a 9-6 fishing expedition gig. He's playing poker right now for a living. Making incredible amounts of money. He's not just going to take these three winnings and shut down poker and start some type of career. Poker is the career right now, and he should absolutely not buy a boat, and do something smarter with it.


Just imo. Buying a boat will just cost him more money, and his money is coming through poker. So He can't really divide his time up for the both to be worthwhile.

He bought a car. Thats a toy. Now time to not be n-word rich, and use this money wisely. I always said anyone can play poker professionally. They just need to do a few things really well. Have patience. Be good at math(at least decent) and number one priority is manage your money properly. Let variance take care of the rest, and you can be a winning player.

I'm thinking more of the fact he's on his 4th city in less than a year so he probably doesn't have any type of navigation guide down, or any plan whatsoever on how to go about being any type of fishing guide.

The guy has been grinding mtt's and on his nights off I am sure he is enjoying himself with cocktails and good times rather than sitting in his place sober thinking of a business plan for fishing. Not being negative about it at all. Just think the poker is way too profitable and time consuming at this time for him to be focused on anything BUT that. He's won these three tourneys and I am sure he has played in more than ten times those three in that time so It's not like he's just plucked down three random times to play and walked away with 35k. He's obviously putting in time and effort and it's paying off. I would stash this money and just continue doing what I am doing until I had enough money to walk away, or I've had enough of the game, an d am ready to pour my resources into a different project.

Basically, you can't win 35k over 3 wins and not be putting in some serious time. Also it's not the time to walk away and be a fishing guide. He's on a run and who knows what mtt he could bink for say 250k
