The problem this week is the guy caught it IN BOUNDS (which makes it deff from the calvin Johnson catch few years back) 2 feet down and made a move and then went to the ground.
How can they review this and fucking blow it? This was almost as bad as when Polamolu scored in OT 5 years or so back and they said you cannot advance a fumble in overtime or something like that

I thought Calvin was robbed a few years back and could be making the spike motion from the ground just like I think Dez was robbed today.

What makes this play different it is in bounds. Once you catch the ball and have control the play is live. I think Dez caught the ball took 2 steps and the play was live. Once he has the 2 feet down and is moving forward it is a reception. What happens when he goes to the ground is up for debate whether he fumbles on his own when going down or a forced fumble occurs.
I agree the situations and rules are different but they both shouldn't exist. As for Dez he did take a few steps then it can be argued he extended for the TD which that caused the bobble/fumble motion afterward. If the catch happened without him diving up in the air coming down like he did or being able to take maybe one more step this play wouldn't even have been argued.It was the rule in the end zone when it happened to calvin

These rules also will never take into consideration how big the hands of Dez and Calvin are where a lot of other receivers may not have control of balls they do even if it appears wobbly (if that makes sense).
All I will say is the refs have way too much control in the current state of the NFL today and it's ruining the game.
