Poker is fun....
I got QcQs 3 hands in a row last time I was at the local casino & went bust the first 2 hands(ironically one of them to my father) & as I'm buying in again I get dealt them again there's a raise from EP & a guy goes all in in front of me from the button. I look down in the SB & chuckle & think for a second before calling & turn it over & the whole table just erupts. It was the exact same 2 black Q's as the previous 2 hands.
It holds up & because I bought in for $300 the second time instead of $200 I'm basically even for the 3 hands. Of course this was NLHE & not PLO like this thread is about.
BTW, table had an auto-shuffler so it was 2 different decks. Not sure if this makes it weirder.

Huge night last night. Went to the isle to play the last flight of the $100K. About three hours into the tournament they anounced a 200-uncapped 2-5 PLO game (hi only). I bought in for $500 durning the break and lost $150 in a big hand but loved what I was seeing. I went back to my tournament table 15 min late and shoved 4 out of 6 hands and lost a-j<qq. Figured I'd tripple up fast or get back to the PLO game. Good decission as I ran the $350 up to $1600. Just an unbeliveable game... Nobody laid down. Broadway's paying off boats and flushes for racks when the wrong card hit the table. The "worst" was one lady who was just crazy Argo. if she was in a hand it went pot pre, pot flop, pot turn. Anyway around 3am right as I was ready to pack it in I played JJ-garbage for $70 4 way and woke up to a j-9-9 board. And like clockwork she pots $280, flat and got a call behind. Turn 4 and she pots for $1120 and I shove after semi tanking figuring flatting would look more suspicious. Guy behind folds after tanking (says A-A-9-x, original raiser, maybe I should have flated) and got the call. She tables A-K-J-9, drawing dead assuming the 9 was out.
$350 to $3,200. Not a bad haul.
Ever have a night when you do well but fell like it really should have been much better? That was me last night. Went back to the Isle to try and get the PLO game going and it never materialized. I ended up playing "real" 5-10 (not the 100-300 version I play at the pbkc). Bought in for a grand, doubled up with 6's full two hours later, played another 8 hours and left up $1300, a 30 min massage and a chicken parm dinner.
The play over the last 4 hours was so awful im ashamed I couldn't get much more money.
"Cool story bro", I know. But the table next to me had a bad beat today, quad 8's vs 10 high st8 flush. Needed to be quad jacks to chop up $80K.
The PLO game at the Isle is a good time. So much better then Holdem.
The game ran last night for 4-5 hours and it had some great action. Made a loose call pre with 2-3-3-4 in the SB and floped a set on a Qc-Jc-3x board. I checked, check, bet $110, call $110. I decided to call $110 to see if a scary card peeled off with $600 more behind. Second checker then ships for $700. Got two folds behind and I tanked called knowing I may be in the set cemetery. Turns out he only had the Ac blocker and 10-10 as straight blockers..... Best posible scenario for me. Ran it twice and scooped.
Game ended up breaking around midnight so I moved to a 2-5 that was playing like a 5-10. Lost 400 right off the bat with 7-5 off in the BB on a 6-4-3 flop when I shipped the re raise and got called by 6-4.... 6 turn.
Got most of it back about an hour later when I raised to $50 with A-A and shipped after the $275 re-raise. I guess the pro move was to flat then ship, but he had my $1600 covered and didn't feel like getting sucked out on. Pussy move, but a "free" $275 isn't anything to look down on.
Inlaws are in town so I had to make an effort to stick around. I ended up depositing $200 on Bovada. Keep in mind I haven't made a poker deposit in 9 months because I never run well online ESP omaha. Ran that $200 up to $2000 in 5-6 hours. Played for 2-3 hours today and then the doom switch hit. Lost top full house vs st8 flush for $550. Flopped a set of aces and lost to Broadway for another $375.... After the third "bad beat" in 20 min I hit the withdrawal button for $1100.
No way. Bs to much
Not too much in the way of updates other than im continuing to play and doing well. It's more of a unoffical thing for me without a separate bankroll. Last thing I want to do right now is ruin this good run im on is to get overly serious. That said back in early December I hit the ATM for $500 and have reloaded once for $300 more and I'm sitting with $1700 in my pocket having spent well over a thousand in misc stuff (inlaws dinner included, disney trip, eating out, groceries etc). I'm am very thankful I ollfound that PLO game at the Isle they have been running to say the least.
Played last fri night, up $1700. $1100 or so on a raised pot on the button with 7-8-9-10 on a 5-6-7 rainbow board got it all in and scouped vs 7-7-8-9 when the river hit 8.
Interesting hand Kd-Jd-10x-9x on a Ad-8x-9x-6d board. I checked in the SB with a plan to flat or raise. First guy bets Pot $175 next guy pots with only $400 behind. Played with this guy a few other times and I'm confidant it's 7-10 plus. With $35 invested I decided to let it go and the guy behind did as well. When I ended up big I wish I had called when I replayed this hand. He said he had no d but 7-10-J.. Makes sense to me.
WSOP started yesterday at the Palm bech kennel club. God I love it when the traveling circus is in town. $2,600 in thier gook faces last night.
"Unfortunately" I'm on my way to Cozumel for a few days. After last night im thinking about canceling my plans till after the series.
WSOP got me for $900 last night and I hit back for $700 tonight. Still up a nice chunk so far.
Took the day off tomorrow and plan to do a big session.
Poker tip. If a fat man orders food and it shows up at the table and he puts down the chicken fingers to put in a big bet he has a big hand. Totally caught a guy doing this tonight.
That is a great read on someone eating at the table that I've used at times too and the person don't necessarily have to be fat. As long as they seem into eating more then the cards being dealt when the food is in front of them then this is a huge tell. You just have to observe this and go from there.
Up $700 last night. They spread a 5-5 PLO/PLO8 mix game that was spectacular. Unfortunately I had 3 bad run outs that potentialy cost me as much as $3,000+
My A-3-4-6 vs A-6-10-J on a A-A-6 flop in a 8 game. Got it all in for $1800 and he binked a 10 on the turn. Thankfully I re binked a 8 on the river. Should have got him to run it twice.
My Ac-jc-x-x vs Ad-4d-x-x on a Kd-QD-10c flop with a 8c turn. Had him in for $800 with $400 behind at the river and the 8d fell. He checked the river and Scooped.
My K-Q-J-10 on a A-K-10 flop with a river/Jam after it went brick turn and A river. Old guy with a 1% possibility of a bluff. This cost me another $700.
Sorry to see the wsop is over here. I'm going to have to remember to take time off of work next year.
To the young Asian kid who snapped me off with 6-6-A-4 vs my A-A-2-3 last night for $700 go fuck yourself. That said - love the call kid and respect the gamble. I hope you prosper and we play again soon.
To the guy who was playing with the fucking AIDS virus who got me sick today I hope you die in a fire.
