Not a huge buffet fan, but I seriously advise anyone coming to Vegas for the WSOP or at any point to visit the buffet at the Cosmo. It's truly a spectacle. It is the first "fine dining" buffet I have ever eaten at. Very exotic dishes, yet they also have the basics (prime rub, shrimp cocktail, asian food etc)

Sushi wise, my favorite by FAR is Sushi Roku, which is at the Forum at Caesars Palace. It is pricey but if you enjoy sushi and money isn't an object, this is the place to go. Fish is flown in daily and you really can tell by the taste.

I know my restaurants here in Vegas. Lol actually about to leave in a little bit and head out to the Cosmo for dinner with my girl. If anyone spots me there, your buffet is on me. DISCLAIMER: only one person as the buffet is close to $50 on the weekend.

just want to throw a heads up out there, randomly tried treasure island buffet a couple weeks ago and it was probably the best 30$ buffet ive been to in vegas and ive been to all the big ones. i never would have thought it would be good but it was very good. dessert station was on point. so if ur near there and lookin for buffet i recomend it, its surpisingly good. back to fine dining recommendations.........

I like asian food and having a car in Vegas so:

Sushi - Sen of Japan (15 mins off strip, really good sushi for moderate price)
Thai - Lotus of Siam (5-10 mins off strip, go for Northern Thai specials or house specials)

There's a chinatown area 2-3 min drive from the Rio that has a lot of good cheap lunch options - korean tofu, banh mi sandwiches, etc. I've tried a few of those places with good results.

Anyone that likes seafood should check out The Boiling Crab. They have a location in Vegas. The shrimp is the best option.
