Peter Falcone had his hearing and was held to answer for all three charges. His request for dismissal was denied as was his request for bail reduction. His next court date will be June 5th.

Shout out here to VPPlayer....thanks for the radio show and everything you have been doing here.
Also, just wanted to mention that I heard on the radio show some speculation that Falcone's lack of interest in sex may be the result of childhood abuse. Just want to make clear here that he came from a very good home and has two brothers who turned out to be well-adjusted upstanding citizens. If there was abuse in that home, it was ridiculously selective. I do not know the ins and outs of his early life enough to speak conclusively on this subject, but I would find it extremely hard to believe he suffered abuse as a child. I can say that his lack of interest in sex in some cases adds to his charm with certain women. There are some women who also are not so interested in sex, and these women find his similar approach to be a gentlemanly quality. In certain respects, the type of women he charms are women who are starved for male company but also are themselves not interested in sex, just the attention from a male. Key take away from this post -- nobody should be thinking that Falcone is a victim and/or is worthy of sympathy. If one reads the book about the sociopath next door, they will see that the sociopath's arsenal is loaded to the brim with pity and sympathy ploys. Don't fall for it.
Thank You for the kind words and keen insight into the thinking of a sociopath. My biggest concern is that Peter gets a sympathetic ear somewhere. Right now he is using every trick in his arsenal to get out of this situation. Next time in court he might be a born again christian. Whatever persona he thinks will get him out of jail he will take.

Peter had his court appearance this morning. His Pretrial hearing will be June 27th. At the request of his newly hired attorney it will also double as a bail review. NOW who on earth would pay for an attorney for Peter Falcone? How does that person sleep at night?
Thank you, VPPlayer, for the update. The idea of somebody else paying Falcone's legal fees is astounding. It also triggers all sorts of other questions like --
What if Falcone gets pushed into bankruptcy? In theory, the bankruptcy judge gets to look at all revenue coming in and all costs going out and gets to decide how it should work. In theory, a gift is a gift to the bankruptcy estate not to Falcone personally. The gift cannot just go out to one preferred creditor ....otherwise it looks like an unlawful preference, no? Why should the gift giver be considered a higher authority than the bankruptcy judge. Anybody know the answers to these? It seems to me that there are plenty of people Falcone owes money to who aren't going to see a penny and who should be motivated to file a petition to push him into bankruptcy.
Also, what about the tax situation? Once the legal fees go over $14,000 per year (or whatever the threshold is), shouldn't they be taxable? I.e. any gift over the threshold is taxable income for the recipient. How does uncle Sam make sure this arrangement is kosher from the tax perspective?
Don't they sometimes have legal experts come on the radio to discuss burning issues like these? I would tune in!
So you are Peter Falcone, this guy.
And you allegedly just stole some very expensive jewelry and pawned it, what do you do next?
All these tickets were found with his property. Hopefully some diligent prosecutor will notice the Hilton ticket has his player ID number on it. As well as the fact a number of cash transaction reports should have been filed when these bets were placed.
Oh oh, now Peter has blown out again and has allegedly stolen money from a safe. Now what does he do? Can this guy pick any winners?
Now poor Peter/Mike is taking the 2+2 people for a ride, but he is very cash poor as seen through these tickets.
Thanks vpp.
Someone do the math for me -- Are all of these losing tickets?
What makes you think he didn't cash in (or have someone cash in) his winning tickets already?
So he used stolen money to make large bets on sports.... I guess I'm missing whatever point you are trying to make(?)
Peter also like's to play $5 and above video poker, now the vp in my name stands for video poker so I know the payout percentages. At least he was playing 9/6 Jacks or Better, but I'm sure he was butchering the strategy.
